Description
We are an open community in the mountains(Serra Calderona). We work rebuilding an ancient arab village(alquería), for preserving the clever and sustainable culture of living in harmony with the nature.
The settlement it`s from the XI century, located in a lost valley between mountains, with a high environmental value.
It gives us the life a clear water river that flows between red stones(rodeno) and a dense mediterranean forest.
The village it`s composed by around 20 houses ruins, a defensive tower and 3 buildings that we are actually rebuilding, and where we already have a communitary dinning room and kitchen, as well as a workshop, a warehouse, library, goat yards, a hen house and sleeping places.
Olla village has also a big terraced farming surface, where predominate the centenary olive trees, the almond and cherry trees and the orchard terraces, all of them worked up under the permaculture principles.
The village has communitary shower installations, dry wc, green cleaning filters, photovoltaic electrical installation and a solar heat.
We need volunteers only with experience on bulding, electricity, animals, forest works (chainsaw, brushcutter..) vegetals, water sistems, eu volunters programs..
we can spoke by videocall.

Learn to build with diferent tecniques, dry stone, wood, bamboo , clay and lime.

We host just volunteers who can stayed at least for ONE MONTH with us.
The tasks to be carried out are bio-construction in a traditional way (dry stone, quicklime, reed...), animal care (sheep grazing and fencing), agro-ecological vegetable gardens, olive trees (different tasks depending on the time of year)
We highly value knowledge and skills in other aspects such as energy self-sufficiency systems, masonry, previous experience with animals, initiative in daily work and autonomy.

Hébergement
There is a common room in the main house for volunteers, which has mattresses and some bedclothes, although it is advisable to bring your own sleeping bag.
