Laissé par l'hôte pour le workawayer (Elias)
Elias responded to a request for a last minute housesit and petsitting needs; he needed a place to stay before his new job started, so it was a win-win for both of us. He was prompt and punctual, followed instructions perfectly and sent me little updates while I was away; very trustworthy. He is also an interested and engaging conversationalist.

Emma and Romain were very pleasant houseguests. They cooked for me almost every day when I was working, and did meal prepping for me as well. Their main jobs were looking after the house, walking the dogs and cooking. They also did weeding and raking for me in the garden. They are hard workers, always very polite and maintain good cleanliness. I

Emma's english is very very good, and she is a great story teller; Romain's comfort with the english language is weaker but he is always willing to ask questions and use his google translate if necessary!

We stayed with Caroline for 3 weeks in November. We were very well received and felt right at home.
We had a great time with Caroline, she's a funny and friendly host. We also got to meet her family, who are great people.
Caroline was patient with our level of English and always took the time to explain everything to us so that we understood

Our tasks consisted mainly of looking after the dogs (walking and feeding them when Caroline was away) and preparing meals. These days were restful and revitalizing.
Even without a car, we were able to discover a bit of the region thanks to the bus that passes on the street (you just have to be patient). We also just loved spending time at the park with the dogs in the desert and playing with them.
We wish Caroline and the dogs all the best (we miss them a lot). We were sad to leave but we leave with beautiful memories. 🥰

I had the pleasure of spending a week in summer and almost two weeks in November at Caroline's and I felt welcome from the very beginning. Caroline has three lovely dogs and two adorable cats, all of whom love to cuddle. It was a joy to spend time with them.
Caroline herself is an easy-going, kind, and funny person. She always had funny stories to

What made my stay even more memorable was getting to meet some if Caroline's friends. We had a great time going to the drive-in movie theatre together.
The tasks at Caroline's were simple and enjoyable. I helped in the garden, walked the dogs, and fed the pets. Caroline always appreciated that I made dinner for us, because she's very busy. She made sure that food supplies were always provided.
The accommodation was great, as I had my own room which provided privacy and comfort.
You don't need a car while staying in Kamloops, but for day trips it's highly recommended.
Overall, my experience at Caroline's was fantastic. I highly recommend staying with her if you're looking for a welcoming and fun environment, with adorable pets to keep you company.Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Volunteering at Caroline's house was a great experience as it gave me a chance to see more of BC interior and learn valuable skills while working on the retaining wall. From the moment Caroline pick me up at the bus station, I felt welcomed and part of the family. We had a lot of pleasant conversations. The house has a stunning view over the

Alex stayed with us for a week to help build a retaining wall. He also raked leaves all day long in the rain and hauled rocks, so he is very reliable once he has been set to a task. Alex keeps track of his hours, so you can't over work him, but he is a very hard worker, and in his downtime he is very respectful of your space and time. He is very

Laissé par l'hôte pour le workawayer (Akemi)
Akemi came to stay with us 2 days prior to us leaving for a vacation, so her first job was petsitting! She is a very very trustworthy person, who I felt very comfortable to leave in charge of my home. After we returned she stayed another 3 weeks with us. Every morning she got up and took our Toffee dog for nice long walks. She painted furniture

Akemi is very good at following instructions, once she has been showed how to do something not only does she take initiative in future to do it without bidding but she also does so with capability. She learns easily and is very thorough and careful in her tasks. We often spent time together preparing meals and desserts and she always stays to clean up. Akemi is a very quiet, peaceful soul, and respectful of your space and time. We enjoyed her company immensely. I am quite sure, Akemi, that Toffee misses you equally!!

I found my way to Caroline's home through her parents and started off my time with them by housesitting. It was a great way to get settled in, make friends with the cats and Miguel, and explore the town before beginning lots of varied projects, including gardening, tons of DIY, dog walking and loads more! During my time there I saw my first ice

I was very well looked after with a cosy, comfortable room (and two very cuddly cats to keep me company at night!) and plenty of delicious home grown food that I enjoyed helping Caroline with some evenings. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to have stayed with such an active family, and for the things that I learned during my time with them; I will especially miss Toffee, Wu Tang, Monkey and Miguel so so much! Thank you guys :)Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.
