Description
Our hostel is a small, independent place we opened in spring 2023 in the quiet, historic neighborhood of Profesorska Kolonija in Belgrade. It’s a peaceful area full of character — close enough to the city center for exploring, but calm enough to feel like a real home.
We're a small team: Dima is the heart of the hostel — a natural host who keeps things clean, cozy, and welcoming. Peter handles everything behind the scenes online. Together with the volunteers who pass through, we’ve built a space that’s warm, lived-in, and shaped by the people in it.
What we love most about the hostel is its mix of comfort and community. You’ll find clean, quality beds, lots of quiet corners to relax or read, a garden terrace, a rooftop, and even a coworking area if you need space to focus. But more than that, it’s a place where people connect — whether it’s over morning coffee, shared dinners, or spontaneous ideas for how to improve the space.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

The hostel is a place shaped by the people who pass through — guests, volunteers, and team members alike. As part of our small team, you'll be involved in the daily rhythm of the house: sharing meals, conversations, and the occasional spontaneous plan or repair mission.
You’ll also help organize small events for our guests — from game nights and group dinners to movie evenings or rooftop drinks. It’s a great chance to connect with people from all over the world, practice hospitality, and create memorable moments.
We love sharing what we've learned about building and running a hostel from scratch — not just the practical side of things like booking systems and guest experience, but also the quieter stuff: how to keep a space cozy, welcoming, and alive.L’hôte offre un salaire correspondant au salaire minimum

We're looking for someone to help us run the day-to-day operations of the hostel — someone who enjoys taking initiative, keeping things organized, and creating a warm, welcoming space for travelers. This isn’t a typical short-term volunteer position — it’s more of a seasonal live-in management role, with a small salary and accommodation provided.
Your tasks would include:
Welcoming guests and checking them in,
Making sure the common areas are tidy and well-stocked,
Coordinating and sometimes helping with cleaning or laundry,
Answering messages and updating bookings in PMS,
Supporting volunteers and creating a positive, relaxed atmosphere in the house,
Taking care of small everyday things: watering plants, setting the tone, making coffee, solving the occasional hostel mystery 🙂.
We’ll provide training and support — you won’t be thrown into it alone — but we’re looking for someone who can gradually take responsibility, make decisions, and feel ownership over the space.
We offer:
A monthly salary of up to 400 EUR ( 3eur/hour),
A bed in our staff room,
Free laundry, breakfasts, coffee/tea/snacks, and use of all common areas including coworking and cinema rooms,
A relaxed, friendly team, and a chance to be part of a project that’s still evolving.
This role is ideal for someone who’s independent, sociable, and proactive, with good communication skills in English (Russian is a big plus too, as our team and many guests speak it). If we work well together, there’s the possibility to stay longer or move into a more permanent role.Langues parlées

We offer a bed in our staff dorm — a shared room for up to 4 people. It’s a cozy and functional space with larger lockers for personal belongings, and it’s located in a quieter part of the house. Staff also have access to a separate toilet and shower, reserved only for the team, so you’ll always have some privacy and comfort even in a shared setup.
You’ll also have full use of the hostel’s common areas — the kitchen, living rooms, garden terrace, rooftop, and coworking space — and you’re always welcome to join guests and other team members for shared meals, events, or quiet downtime.Informations complémentaires

We have a reliable Wi-Fi connection and a dedicated coworking space on the top floor, so it’s definitely possible to fit in a few hours of remote work or creative projects alongside hostel tasks. That said, this role does require a regular presence and a good sense of responsibility — especially during check-in hours and when things get busy. It’s a great setup if you enjoy a mix of social energy, practical work, and focused personal time. We’re always happy to adapt the schedule a bit if you’re working on something of your own, as long as the hostel keeps running smoothly.
