  Hello! My name is Lara and I am Vera's mother, who will be 6 years old in August. It's been all this time since I decided to be a single mother, quite an adventure!! We both live in a small apartment in a city called Leganés, which is very close to Madrid, just 20 minutes by train and also by metro. We are right in the center of the country, so you can go to any point of this wonderful peninsula surrounded by sea and see the great social, geographical and gastronomic diversity! We also have the mountains nearby for beautiful excursions and, above all, a city that mixes history and modernity with a rich cultural variety! I would like to offer my accommodation between August 15 and September 8, approximately, flexible

  I think it could be very interesting to see my family model and parenting style up close. I have lived sharing a flat and I also lived three months in Ireland years ago and I know how enriching it is to have domestic experiences in other countries. If you are interested in learning the Spanish language and culture, I assure you that Vera and I are two very sociable and talkative people!

  Aide

  During Vera's vacation I work remotely from home, but I need help with her entertainment and care. The idea is that you have breakfast with her and take care of her, and then you go out to the park or the neighborhood municipal pool, or go out on the bike or skates.
  
  Basically being with her for four or five hours in the morning, from August 19 to September 9. It will be four or five hours depending on when she gets up and if my mother can be in charge of giving her food or not, since she usually helps me and my idea is that you take her home so that she can cook it and give it to her. food (we live five minutes away), but she is in poor health and I will have to see about this.
  
  That day school starts and the need is different, the help is to get her up, give her breakfast and walk her to the school that starts at 09:30 and pick her up at 1:00 p.m. and take care of feeding her at home, or eating together three, but I still have to keep an eye on emails during that time. In general, I finish work at 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. and from that moment on I no longer need help.
  
  When Vera starts school you will spend less time with her and I would like you to give me a hand with the washing machines and clothes (ironing/folding) and after breakfast and lunches put the dishwasher on and put it away. I'm in charge of cooking. At home, I will ask you to take care of the cleanliness and order of the room where you sleep and in general to be careful about maintaining order and not generating dirt and taking responsibility for your own. The normal thing about the coexistence of adults!! :)

  Vera and I live in a small 75 m2 apartment with three bedrooms. In my bedroom we both sleep together, another room is a small office where I work and the third room is Vera's, where she doesn't sleep, she always sleeps with me.
  
  I will provide you with a private accommodation with a closet. You will sleep alone but it is a room with decoration and children's toys, but she will know how to respect that space if you are there since she is used to playing in the rest of the house. The apartment has only one bathroom, but three of us have managed well when my sister has lived with us. The apartment has a small balcony to get some fresh air and is a third floor with an elevator.
  
  We offer a mediterranean diet.

  We live in the city of Leganés, in the "Zarzaquemada" neighborhood, with the "Julián Besteiro" metro a few minutes from home (Metrosur line 10) that connects with the rest of the lines in Madrid and the main cities in the south of Madrid . The fastest way to go to Madrid is the "Zarzaquemada" commuter train, which in 6 stops leaves you at the "Atocha" station and in 7 stops at the "Sol" station, both very central points in Madrid. The train frequency is about 10 minutes and we also have many intercity bus lines. "Zarzaquemada" is a very established working-class neighborhood from the late 70s but with many important services, supermarkets, shops, bars, large garden areas and very close to home we have the municipal swimming pool and the sports pavilion. It is not a new neighborhood, but it has a lot of turnover and life and is well cared for. We only have to cross a street to be in the "El Carrascal" neighborhood, one of the best neighborhoods in the city and where we have one of the most famous shopping centers in Madrid called "Westfield Parquesur" 15 minutes walk away. The Cercanía train network connects with strategic points in the Sierra de Madrid in one hour or cities such as "San Lorenzo de El Escorial". And if visiting other historic cities is your thing, we have buses to "Toledo" in half an hour. And well, with bla bla car you can reach the magical area of "la Vera" in Cáceres in two hours, or anywhere, even the closest beach which is 3 hours away in "Valencia", also with buses. Vera and I usually go out a lot with friends or alone, we like to move around so if you feel like doing things with us you are welcome!
