Description
- ESPECIALLY LOOKING FOR LONG TERM WORKAWAYERS -
We are a free, non-profit community in Bern, open to everyone.
Our place is run collectively, with the goal of creating a welcoming home where people can meet, share, and feel safe — something that can be hard to find, especially while traveling.
Life here is flexible and not very formal. Still, we try to keep things flowing by dividing ongoing tasks into three main areas:
Communication – keeping in touch with volunteers, visitors, and the outside world.
Software Development – improving our websites and digital tools.
House Coordination – making sure the space stays organized, functional, and cozy.
These areas aren’t rigid — everyone is encouraged to help where they can, and there are always smaller “one-time tasks” that pop up. Each area has reference people who know it best, but the idea is that we all support one another.
✨ What matters most is enjoying the experience together while staying active in moving the project forward — and knowing that 🌈 everyone is welcome here.

Our community works thanks to the active participation of everyone who joins 🤝. The help is flexible and shared, and you don’t need to be an expert — the idea is to contribute where you feel comfortable, learn from others, and support the group 🌍.
🧹 Important to know: Daily morning cleaning and keeping the space in good condition is a responsibility shared by all volunteers. It’s part of living together — everyone takes care of their own mess and helps make the house cozy and welcoming for all.

- Overseeing weekly washing of sheets and towels 🛏️

The focus is coordination and awareness, not doing everything yourself, helping everyone keep the house nice together 💖
🗂️. There’s always something to do — you can check the daily “issues” in the app we use, and volunteers are welcome to try tasks from areas outside their main focus if they want to learn or help in different ways 🌟.
✨ What matters most is staying active 💪, supportive 🤗, and enjoying the process 🌈 of moving the project forward!

Before going, we made a video call for alignment and he soon explained how it works for my arrival. I helped them for 5 nights by having a lot of fun. Literally, it wasn't workaway. I 'just' ironed few sheets, sorted very interesting old coins, cleaned sheds and garage, scanned old pictures, and had fun with nice people!
