Description
Small 1/2- acre homestead looking for someone interested in bringing back to life a small organic garden and bringing back small livestock (chickens and rabbits) to the coop.
Nestled in the Laurentians, Qc, Canada, there's ample occasion for outdoor activity in all seasons: hiking, skiing, cycling to name just a few.
If you want to experience the city with its multi-cultural events and venues, Montreal is only an hour away.
I (non-smoker) live with my 2 dogs and 2 cats in a home spacious enough to welcome you. I speak English, French, and German and can help you find your bearings in this beautiful part of the world.
I'm very passionate about traditional skills: fibre processing, food preservation, herbalism, and everything else needed on a homestead. I'm also interested in creating a food forest and a permaculture garden always striving towards more self-sufficiency. And I absolutely love sharing all my skills and knowledge.

The room offered is a very spacious bright basement bedroom (about 15x10 feet) with a double bed, big closet, desk, chair and dresser.
We can share meals (I'm an omnivore) or you provide yourself.

Public transportation from my village to the next town is a tricky during the day, but exists morning and late afternoon during the week.

In the almost 2 weeks of his stay we accomplished more than I could have hoped for.
Abdussalam was very motivated and helped with every task. We had interesting exchanges and as a temporary roommate he was great.
