  Hi! We are Elisa and Lorenzo, a couple living in the beautiful hills above Lucca, surrounded by forests, chestnut groves, and olive trees. This year is especially meaningful for us because at the end of the summer we will welcome our baby girl, Viola. That's why we are putting our hearts into a project we've dreamed about for a long time: creating a simple, authentic, and welcoming place where we can live, grow, and share experiences with people from all over the world. Our home is located in a peaceful area, fully immersed in nature. We love this place because it is still genuine and unspoiled, far from the crowds, with countless trails for walking, hiking, and mountain biking. Here you can enjoy fresh air, beautiful views, and a slower, more natural pace of life. Those who stay with us will have the chance to experience rural Tuscan life, learn about woodland management, chestnut and olive tree care, and natural farming practices. It's the perfect place for people who enjoy being outdoors, don't mind getting their hands dirty, and are looking to reconnect with nature. We prefer hosting people who have their own vehicle, as it makes it much easier to explore the area and enjoy the experience to the fullest.   Ciao! Siamo Elisa e Lorenzo, una coppia che vive sulle splendide colline sopra Lucca, circondata da boschi, castagneti e uliveti. Quest'anno per noi è particolarmente speciale perché tra poco nascerà la nostra bambina, Viola. Per questo stiamo lavorando con entusiasmo a un progetto che sogniamo da tempo: creare un luogo semplice, autentico e accogliente dove vivere, crescere e condividere esperienze con persone provenienti da tutto il mondo. La nostra casa si trova in una zona molto tranquilla e immersa nella natura. Amiamo questo posto perché è ancora genuino e selvatico, lontano dal caos, con tantissimi sentieri per camminare, fare trekking o andare in mountain bike. Qui si respira aria pulita, si gode di panorami bellissimi e si può vivere un ritmo più lento e naturale. Chi verrà a trovarci avrà l'opportunità di conoscere da vicino la vita rurale toscana, imparare qualcosa sulla gestione del bosco, la cura dei castagni, degli olivi e sull'agricoltura naturale. È il posto ideale per chi ama stare all'aria aperta, sporcarsi le mani, ma anche rilassarsi e riconnettersi con la natura. Preferiamo ospitare persone automunite, così da poter esplorare la zona in totale libertà e vivere al meglio l'esperienza.   We spent many years travelling, working seasonal jobs, and volunteering, so we know how rewarding it can be to share time, ideas, and skills with people from different backgrounds and walks of life. Today we are building a new life in the mountains, and we enjoy welcoming people who would like to be part of this project with us.

  Aide

  Our property includes our family home and about 12 hectares of woodland, green spaces, and ancient trees. Our dream is to take care of this place to turn it into a self-sufficient corner for our family, respecting nature 100% and experimenting with small projects for our household use.Most of our life happens outdoors. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn together, experience a cultural exchange, and team up! Here are the activities where we would love to collaborate and share ideas:
  - Permaculture practices and taking care of our ancient trees
  - Eco-friendly waste management through the creation of composting systems
  - Woodland care, clearing paths, and protecting the surrounding nature
  - Prepping the soil, sowing, and harvesting in our family veggie garden
  - Stacking firewood and getting resources ready for the colder months
  - Sharing knowledge on home bio-construction and low-impact lifestyles
  Our land is typical of this area, often steep and uneven. For this reason, we are looking for dynamic, agile, and physically fit travelers who love hiking on steep paths and doing hands-on outdoor activities in close contact with the earth. Curiosity and a willingness to get involved matter much more than technical skills. We are at the very beginning of this family adventure and we learn something new every day. We welcome with huge enthusiasm anyone who wants to share ideas, life experiences, and good vibes!
  
  To ensure everyone’s peace of mind, we prefer a calm environment focused on relaxation, meditation, and nature (no night parties, we prefer stargazing!).
  
  Please note that all daily activities take place exclusively within our private property for our own family needs. We do not run any business or commercial activity. This is a pure cultural exchange based on household help and sharing a sustainable lifestyle.

  La nostra proprietà comprende la nostra casa di famiglia e circa 12 ettari tra bosco, spazi verdi e alberi secolari. Il nostro sogno è prenderci cura di questo posto per renderlo un angolo di autosufficienza per la nostra famiglia, rispettando la natura al 100% e sperimentando piccoli progetti per il nostro uso domestico. Da noi la maggior parte della vita si svolge all'aperto. È una bellissima opportunità per imparare insieme, fare uno scambio culturale e fare squadra! Ecco le attività in cui ci farebbe piacere collaborare e scambiarci idee:
  - Pratiche di permacultura e cura degli alberi secolari
  - Gestione ecologica dei rifiuti attraverso la creazione di sistemi compostabili
  - Cura del bosco, pulizia dei sentieri e protezione del territorio
  - Preparazione del terreno, semina e raccolta in orto familiare
  - Sistemazione della legna per i mesi freddi
  - Condivisione di saperi sulla bioedilizia domestica e stili di vita a basso impatto.
  
  Il terreno è tipico delle nostre zone, spesso ripido e irregolare. Per questo motivo cerchiamo persone dinamiche, agili e in buona forma fisica, che amino camminare su sentieri scoscesi e fare attività manuali all'aria aperta a contatto con la terra.
  La curiosità e la voglia di darsi da fare contano più delle competenze tecniche.
  Siamo all'inizio di questa avventura familiare e impariamo ogni giorno: accogliamo con immenso entusiasmo persone che abbiano voglia di scambiare idee ed esperienze di vita.
  
  Per garantire la serenità di tutti, preferiamo un ambiente tranquillo orientato al relax, alla meditazione e alla natura.
  
  Tutte le attività quotidiane si svolgono esclusivamente all'interno della nostra proprietà privata per il nostro fabbisogno familiare. È uno scambio culturale puro, basato sull'aiuto domestico e sulla condivisione dello stile di vita.

  Hébergement

  We host both individuals and groups(up to 3 or 4 people max).
  We can provide a few tents of different sizes, as well as a camper van spot equipped with water and electricity . We also have a separate house from the family, which includes 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with hot water, a living room with another bed, and a kitchen that you are welcome to use.

  Possiamo fornire alcune tende di varia grandezza, posto camper con servizi di acqua e elettricità.   For vegetarians or vegans only. Pets are welcome, provided they are calm and used to living in a natural environment and around other people. There is a bus that runs twice a day and connects to the valley village, but the bus stop is about 2 km from the house along a dirt road, which can be covered on foot or by bicycle. The nearest amenities and small markets are about a 15–20 minute drive away. Lucca is about 25 minutes away by car, which is why having your own vehicle is preferred.

  Per sole persone vegetariane o vegane. Gli animali sono benvenuti, purché tranquilli e abituati a vivere in un contesto naturale e con altre persone. C’è un autobus che passa due volte al giorno e collega il paese a valle, ma la fermata si trova a circa 2 km da casa, lungo una strada sterrata, percorribile a piedi o in bicicletta. I primi servizi e piccoli mercati si trovano a circa 15–20 minuti di auto.
