  Description

  We moved to Portugal over two years ago. Our plan was to retire. However, we realised through social media groups here on the Algarve that there were many animals in need of rescuing and subsequently adopting. Our change of direction and lifestyle is hard work and takes dedication. The rewards are plentiful. We have five dogs, three cats, eight goats, one Donkey, plus 40-50 farm birds (ducks, turkeys, hens and Cockerels).
  We now grow our own fruit and vegetables and we have a growing circle of friends who buy our free range eggs from us for a nominal price. Every year we need to harvest the carobs, almonds, olives, grapes, figs, pomegranate and other fruit from our trees.
  We also have many other ongoing projects such as building another house/ lean-to for the Donkey and fencing off further areas of our land too. We have all the materials for this. So now we are looking for enthusiastic people with skills to assist us to fulfill our mission.

  We are still learning everyday as there’s always a new challenge. we welcome other people’s ideas and experiences to enrich both parties.

  Aide

  Carpentry skills are always helpful along with general building and maintenance. General gardening including; strimming, weeding and digging the land to control the weeds, collecting the fruits from the trees for harvesting. Assisting us with cleaning out the goats , donkey , chickens, turkeys and ducks.

  Hébergement

  The newly refurbished guest house has its own en-suite containing shower, toilet and hand basin. A Double bed . And small kitchenette. The annex is five meters from the main house .
  We do not allow smoking inside.

  If you love the sea , sun, exploring the beautiful Coastal area of the Algarve and in contrast to this live to explore inland where you’ll experience the breathtaking landscapes and countryside, then you will love portugal. The transport system coaches, trains are not costly.
