Volunteer Projects
Our projects invite young people to experience a simple and meaningful way of living — one that believes in doing rather than talking, and fixing rather than complaining. It’s a space to reconnect with nature, explore creativity, and learn through real, hands-on experiences.
Depending on the season, volunteers can take part in a variety of activities that blend learning, creativity, nature, and community:
Beekeeping with Care: Experience the calm rhythm of nature as you help clean hives, collect honeycomb, and feed bees during the rainy season. Small acts of care can create a big difference in sustaining life.
Swimming & Skating Lessons: Support instructors during swimming and skating sessions, helping children build confidence, courage, and joy through physical movement.
Creative & Science Workshops: Inspire young minds through hands-on learning. Volunteers can help children create digital wall clocks using recycled materials, paint murals, and explore DIY art and science projects that blend creativity, innovation, and environmental awareness.
Pebble Art: Express your creativity by decorating bee boxes and flower pots with pebble art — turning simple materials into meaningful designs.
Yoga & Meditation: Take time to center yourself through yoga and meditation sessions. Volunteers can learn simple techniques to calm the mind, improve focus, and connect with inner peace.
Hiking & Camping: When time and weather permit, we go hiking and camping in the nearby forest. It’s a chance to experience the wild closely, learn basic survival and life skills, and discover how little we actually need to live meaningfully. These experiences depend on the season — and the energy of our volunteers!
We also welcome volunteers who enjoy sharing stories and moments through social media — capturing photos, updates, and reflections from our projects and community life.
Here, every day is a new opportunity — to learn something real, create something beautiful, and grow in harmony with nature and people. It’s not just volunteering — it’s living with purpose.

Iva is a lovely workawayer, quiet and respectful but with a great sense of humor and fun. She is willing to try jobs that she has never done before and I have no hesitation in recommending her. Where do I begin? My Workaway experience here was truly magical. Yash and his relatives really made me feel welcome, needed and at home. Assisting in swimming and skating lessons, along with sitting in plantations harvesting honey made me feel like I had an authentic stay in the city of Puttur and I’ll forever be grateful for it.
