Description
Hi Workawayers, my name is Ismeth from Pontianak, capital of Western Borneo province, vibrant city bang on the equator (amazing sunset) crossed by the longest Borneo river ( Kapuas river). Not far away to Malaysia border on north, direction of good lake and beautiful islands. Going south the river spread in many direction creating the "highway" throw mangrove, jungle and traditional village of fisherman and farmer on many little particular island. 8 hours boat trip crossing river and jungle to Mountain Palung National Park ( the biggest population of orangutan in the world, and home of more aviate species.
My home is close to the city center ( 30 minute walk ), close enough to access the shops and cafes but at the same time far enough from the crowd and noise. The area where I live has a bit of a village atmosphere. My house is a classic wood made home, comfortable but simple, surrounded by banana and coconut trees. I live with my mother only. On the second floor is my meditation room and a separate room for my guest to relax.
I would like to host somebody who can help me in my small garden, to take care of the flowers and vegetable patch for 1 till 3 hours each day (do not worry if the sun stings hot, you do not have to force work and i don't want to make you feel hot , you just need to relax, enjoy with coffee or ice tea on the porch of the house or at your room... :) ) and I would like my volunteer to be available in the afternoons (Sunday to Friday) for 2 hours (maximum) to help out with teaching in My English Club For Kids that I set up in my hamlet (Non Profit). The idea is to teach and play with children but also encourage conversations with anyone who want to practice English but doesn’t have the possibility to do so. Meeting foreigner can not only teach people or kids for the language but can also help locals to be more aware about external point of view. Please contact me if you need more information about me. And in the end of my introduction, PLANT AND CARE, LIVE AND KEEP YOUR OWN HOPE AND EVERYONE WITH HEART.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

I think the best way to learn a language is to practice, so in this case you will also be able to learn bahasa indonesia. My friends, people or kids will be happy to help you to practice with them. At the same time you will learn about our culture, traditions and the way of living because you will interact with people every day and you can learn a lot this way. You are also welcome to join me in activities, for example go to music gigs (tentative), canoeing, or hang out with my friends. You can also learn to cook some of the dishes (in my house we make mie goreng or nasi goreng and you can help me with cooking if you are interested). We are also not far from some attractions (for example Equatorial monument, traditional house) and on your free days you can take a trip to nearby places - beaches and towns for example. Pontianak can also be a good starting point for different destinations in West Borneo. ( We don't need to "work" every day, i don't want work everyday of curse! )

- So, the most important part of the volunteering is teaching English to children and practice speaking with local people who are interest to make conversations in my house and my hamlet so everyone can learn and practice the language with you, share different points of view, interests and information about the world. It's not school teaching, it's more about being there with people talking to them with an open mind.
- Then i would like also some help for my little garden during the day, Not hard farming in slave modality, just easy enjoy work with the land.
- Anything more is greatly appreciated such as art, music ecc... For exemple i'm a pianist player with my band, so i love music. share time and communicate with music.Langues

Some of the food that you will try while you are here is:
