  Description

  Our organisation was founded to support children’s education, promote community development and foster meaningful cultural exchange.
  
  Currently, we don’t have full time paid staff, our organization operates with a small team who are dedicated members and volunteers.
  They help with teaching and education support ,community outreach, administration and coordination.
  
  We are focused on creating opportunities for young people, especially those that are in underprivileged communities.
  We want to support them by giving them access to quality education, organising learning activities, promoting cultural awareness. Organisation believes that education is a powerful tool for a long term change.
  
  Since we started as an NGO, we have worked with local schools and native from the community to help in basic education, mentorship and community outreach.
  The activities of the NGO are:
  Assisting in classroom
  Organizing educational programs
  And having children to experience creative and cultural learning.
  
  Organisation values respect , collaboration and cultural exchange.
  Our experience with past volunteers are great and we welcome volunteers from anywhere in the world who are passionate about sharing knowledge, making a positive impact and learning from the community.

  Organisation has cultural exchange at its heart in everything we do.volunteers will not only be here to support our work but will have the chance to learn about the local customs of the community, engage in festivals and have a direct experience with community people.
  
  Volunteers can learn Ghanaian culture and tradition ,local languages ,local food, Community living , personal growth and volunteers are welcome to show the community their culture.

  Aide

  Organisation welcomes individuals who are passionate, open minded and respectful volunteers who are willing to offer assistance with their time and skills to support our mission of Education, Community Development and Cultural Exchange. We singed our first two school partnerships just recently in Botodwina and we really need someone to help us manage and grow our social media presence as we share this journey with the world.
  
  As our social media & content volunteer you will:
  
  Edit photos and video footage from our school visit into content for Instagram,TikTok,Facebook and YouTube.
  
  Write captions that reflect the real stories behind our work.
  
  Support growth strategy to help more people discover our work.
  
  And occasionally join our team on visit to partner schools to help capture content directly.
  
  Start date: 10th September 2026
  
  We are also looking for :
  
  Grant research and grants writing.
  we would be happy if we get someone to help with grant writing and research because that’s where we can help the children have access to quality education in underserved communities.
  
  
  Organisation values honesty and transparency. The organization is a registered NGO and we are more concerned of creating a safe , respect and impactful environment for both volunteers and the community.

  Hébergement

  Volunteers will stay in a shared house within the community and rooms will be shared with 1 - 2 other volunteers depending on availability.
  Each room has clean bed and a storage space and it has electricity.
  Bathroom facilities are shared, it’s clean and includes running water and you can have hot water.
  The house is safe and secured and within a walking distance to the NGOs office and to the community school as well.
  
  We will give our Workawayers 2 meals a day and volunteers will have variety of local meals as part of the cultural exchange.
  
  Meals can also be shared with the family or team, creating a welcoming environment and allowing workawayers to feel fully integrated in the community as well.
  And when shared meals are not possible, we will ensure that the ingredients are available for volunteers to prepare for their own meals.

  Volunteers should come with an open mind, flexibility, and willingness to learn – Ghanaian life can be very different from Europe or America.
  
  Weekends and evenings are free, so you can relax, explore Takoradi, or connect with locals.
  
  Internet access is available in the city, but may not always be as fast as you’re used to.
  
  Ghana has a warm tropical climate – bring light clothes, but also something modest for school and community activities.
  
  Please respect local culture and traditions; greetings, hospitality, and respect for elders are very important here.
  
  We welcome travellers from all backgrounds – whether you are a teacher, artist, farmer, or just eager to help, there is always a way to contribute.
  
  If you happen to be here in December, you can join in the famous Takoradi “Ankos” Masquerade Festival 🎭 one of Ghana’s most colorful and exciting celebrations with music, dance, and costumes filling the streets.
