  Description

  Hello everyone! We are a kitesurf school located at the Óbidos lagoon, 1h north of Lisbon, Portugal. We run a little kite shop as well as two guest houses where our students are staying. We are a young team of passionate riders, always happy to pass on our passion for kitesurfing through our lessons. Living between the flat waters of the lagoon, the Eucalyptus forest and the Atlantic Ocean, we spend a lot of time outside!
  Our goal is to provide an amazing global experience in our region of Portugal. Kitesurfing is obviously the main activity but we also organize mountain bike tours, yoga and surf sessions to keep our guests busy :)
  The village is located on the south side of the lagoon, walking distance from the long sandy beaches facing the Ocean.

  In return for your help 15 to 25h per week (2 to 3 days/week) we offer you:
  
  - 75euros/week
  - Accommodation (single bed in a twin room - NO DORM)
  - Access to mountain bikes
  - Introduction to kitesurfing (private lessons at a hugely reduced price given by an IKO-certified instructor)
  - Access to kitesurf equipment (you can use the equipment on your own to practice but we need to make sure you have a good enough level to be safe)
  - Sharing a house with passionate riders and surfers
  - Living in one of the best Surfing regions of Europe (Peniche, Baleal, Nazaré)
  
  The area where the house is located is remote, wild and beautiful. You can easily walk to the beach, kite spots and restaurants. This is an amazing place for outdoor activities!
  We are 20 minutes drive from Baleal/Peniche, 20min from Óbidos town (also supermarkets) and 1h drive from Lisbon.

  **HOUSEKEEPING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
  
  We do our best to mix the different tasks but the main one will be housekeeping.
  
  Housekeeping consists of cleaning the guesthouses (rooms at check-out and common areas are being cleaned every day), gardening, pool care, laundry, office cleaning, helping with kitesurf equipment cleaning and organizing the office.
  
  We might also need help with meeting the clients at the kitesurfing spot to give them the equipment needed. You would be mainly taking care of the rental equipment and the clients. When they arrive, you will make sure they get the appropriate gear according to the wind conditions. During the session, you will keep an eye on them and advise the manager if anyone needs help/boat rescue. After their session, you will make sure that the equipment comes back nice and clean without damage and then pack it away. We will also ask you to take some pictures of the students and the team once in a while.
  We would provide training for this part as you will need to be familiar with the kitesurfing equipment and how to handle it. We also provide a good camera for you to take pictures.
  Your schedule will depend on the wind and the kite team's schedule but we usually work between 9 am and 5/6 pm.
  We are looking for solo travellers who can stay for a minimum of 2 months to ensure a good integration into the team.
  Being fluent in English is necessary and another language is a plus.
  You need to have the right to stay/work in Portugal (European passport).
  EU driving licence with the ability to drive manual would be a big bonus, as you would need this to travel to and from the guesthouses when there are a lot of things to carry.
  Knowledge about kitesurfing and/or other watersports is a plus!

  Hébergement

  You will have a single bed in a twin room (2 people maximum/ room). The house has 3 bedrooms so you will be living with 5 other persons maximum. The house has 2 bathrooms, a furnished kitchen, 2 fridges, a living room, a garden and is located 15min walk from the beach, the guesthouses and the kitesurf spots. You can basically walk everywhere.

  During your time off, you have plenty of things to do such as Surfing, Kitesurfing, mountain biking, visiting the nearby towns (Peniche, Óbidos, Nazaré, Lisbon, Ericeira, ...).
  Two buses/day can bring you to Óbidos town where you have all the options for further travel.

  We have parking in front of the house where helpers could park the van. We had the experience already and it worked fine.
