Hello,
I'm Christel,
At this moment I live here on my own with my son Simon.
4 years ago we have made an ecological swimming pond in the garden with three months of help with you, volunteers! the pond is finished, purifying flowering plants and nice to swim ! thank you all! the pond needs care, regularly, seeving out the algae, I use them to mulch the plantbeds in the garden. So the water can stay enough clear to swim, a lot of plants now and dragonflies, toads, salamanders,...
this summer we will have the project of building a tiny house for my son, so he can live more independent.
we are in the beginning of this, so everything still needs to fall in place. Now the plan of the tiny house is drawn.
other help that is possible; I'm looking for help in the garden, the forest tends to take over the open spaces, that means that the blackberries prepare the parts close to the trees, so more trees can grow.
I'm fan of blackberries, they give nice fruit, good tea, and a place for the eggs for some butterflies, but for now I want to have some parts clean again, ... so if you have the courage to this, I would be very happy!
I pick and dry a lot of herbs, So helping me with fine-making and potting is also welcome,
we live at the end of a little road in the woods, nearby a little city, 50 km from Brussels and 25 km from Leuven
Inside the house, we have a lot of wood and round forms with cob-walls.
there is a lot of little corners, edges, parts of cob inside the house that still want to be completed and with a sponge made round and soft and harmonic,
DONE! this winter, so gratefull for that!
This summer the cob layer of the outside house needs reparation and a new thin layer, I will do this with a professional for technical know how, but I can use help from workawayers

many things to experience :) it depends on your interests. I'm used to get to know you and then I can propose possibilities.
there are a lot of nice walking and biking routes, we can lend a bike for you.
we live close to the little towncentre of Aarschot, with some medieval nice buildings, tower, bridge
if you like to visit cities: Leuven, Brussels, Antwerp can be reached by train in less than an hour.
When there is an opportunity I like to take you for a swim in natural water,....
we eat together and it's an opportunity to have evenings with laughter and games, or with philosophic/ spiritual exchanges, or just quiet rest. My way of living invites you to encounter, live and feel alternative ways of making society. I'm also in LETS (local exchange trading system)
and involved in a foodforest/permaculture project on 15 kms.

you can sleep in the tent, where we make a good bed for you! itis a huge family-tent
you can share the real kitchen, cooking, eating, bathroom, in the main house. but we have also made a summer outside kitchen
I'm used to cook a lot of different tastes and diets, with all the good and sometimes special vegetables from the garden. we do eat meat and co , but I can cook vegetarian or vegan if wished.
in colder season we can arrange a room inside

I have the beginning of a muscle disease, so I have to take care about my energy, I have to rest/sleep during the day. I'm a fysiotherapist and know about body-work en the energetical being of body and heart.
when we are many, I need help in the kitchen.
I love to serve nice meals.
I love being creative and thinking out of the box,
my son Simon writes stories and loves to make performances. Simon has also the muscle disease, he ersts a lot and the other time he can be very active :)
there is a trainstation in 30' walk, so you can easily reach other places to visit,
when weather is warm, there is a lake on 10 km, where we love swimming.
and there is the pond in the garden :)

Living with the family is on the whole very quiet. Everybody is often tired in the evening, so you shouldn’t expect to spend hours talking with each other.
