Description
I am a German national, living in the southwest of France in a 1790 maison with a pool and 6 en suite bedrooms. I have a young cat who is very playful and cute, his name is Louis.
I grew up in Germany and then lived in the US for 40 years. Now enjoying my time living in France.
There is a spacious garden area and pool with lounge chairs. The house is within walking distance from the "little Venice of France", it also has cafes, small shops, and a weekly market. There is even a local bookstore that carries English books and has a garden cafe.
I need help with the housekeeping, garden maintenance, and small repair jobs around the house.
I enjoy sewing and crafting as my hobbies as well as being in the garden. I work with textiles and often have small tasks that I need assistance with such as taking apart wooden frames.

I speak German, English and French and would be happy to help with language learning, french cooking lessons, sewing and crafting instruction also. For many years I taught classes for many years to childen and adults on how to sew and use the sewing machine.
There are 1000 castles in the area of the Dordogne, many medieval towns , walking paths.
Local specialties include; walnuts, cheese, truffles and duck. Weekly local markets, canoeing on the river, and bike touring.
Many nearby wineries to visit.
I like to eat healthy foods, have quiet times as well as entertaining.
Aide
Help with maintenance of house and garden, some small repairs, some painting, gardening. Also some computer help would be greatly appreciated.

Hébergement
Private room with your own bathroom (shower, sink, toilet). Food/cooking needs to be discussed like special diets etc. meals to be shared. Household chores such as cleaning and cooking to be shared. I enjoy cooking for others and sharing meals when it is suitable.
