Description
Namaste! We are Priyansha and Kushal. Along with our friends, we own a 3 acre farm in the outskirts of Pokhara city, on a hill overlooking Begnas Lake.
We are not farmers but our dream is to create a life away from the city amidst nature, grow our own food and hopefully collaborate with others who are seeking to connect (and disconnect) in the same way. We are very new to this, we are starting from the ground up and we are looking for help!Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

As we are starting from scratch, you will help us build and design the land according to Permaculture principles. We have both completed our Permaculture Design Course from Aranya Farm (Telangana, India) and working alongside us you will be able to practice permaculture principles and techniques as we learn and implement them.
Besides that, you will experience living in a scenic Nepali village and the culture firsthand along with us and a Tamang family who live on the land.
We are also very close to Pokhara, the valley from where most major trekking routes start and end. There are several lakes, mountain views, hiking and trekking trails, adventure sports among many other things to do once you get here.Aide
Key areas we would appreciate your help with are:
- Renovation of old stone house on the property
- Water harvesting and management
- Earthworks
- Planting trees
- Seasonal planting, weeding, mulching, harvesting, composting
- Planning and building a Farm Stay
From the month of May onwards (extending likely upto July), we are primarily focused on our home renovation.
Besides these, we are seeking to learn from you and are open to ideas and projects from your side as well!Langues parlées

Our stone house will be undergoing major renovations from March onwards, so accommodation will be in tents. We have a couple of spacious tents. You are welcome to bring your own tents or hammocks as well.
We have an eastern toilet, and rely on bucket showers. We try our best to use water conservatively, as the water supply is not yet reliable.
Food is mostly Nepali staple diet consisting of rice, roti, dal, seasonal vegetables, salads and fruits. Meals are primarily vegetarian.Autres infos...
There is a LOT to do in Pokhara, if you are planning to come visit us we can recommend numerous activities, sightseeing spots and places to eat.
Fewa Lakeside is about 40-45 mins drive/an hour's bus ride from the farm and Begnas Lake is about 30 mins drive.
There is a local bus stop about 10 mins walk from the farm. Buses leave every hour during the day. You can also hire scooters or bikes from Pokhara and use it for travelling. If you are bringing your car, there is a pitch road almost all the way to the farm, with about 500 metres off road.Informations complémentaires
