I stayed in Frank´s hotel from March to September and it was a truly wonderful experience. Frank and Christine made me feel like at home since day one, making me part not only of the activities related to the business but also oftenly inviting me to spend time with them and their family, enjoying a beautiful afternoon in the garden while sharing

I very much enjoyed performing my tasks in the hotel, either preparing rooms or attending customers in the reception. The latest one was my favorite, and it was a nice surprise for me to discover that I found a particularly fulfilling experience to welcome our guests, checking them in, and assist them in any possible way. I did not know that I would enjoy so much this close treatment with customers since I never had the opportunity to do so in my previous professional experiences, and I´m really glad and grateful for the opportunity I had to improve my skills in this field. Sometimes the work at the hotel can be hard, especially working in the rooms during high season, but Frank´s excellent management always made it feel a rewarding experience, showing appreciation for your work constantly and always being comprehensive, mantaining an exceptional working environment.
I can not emphasize enough how much of a beautiful and calm place Frank´s hotel is, surrounded by a charming natural environment and closed to a lot of interesting places to visit. The delicious breakfasts, including Frank´s fresh baked bread and excellent coffee, definitely contributed tothe enjoyment of my time there. But the best of all was the personal treatment with Frank and Christine, their family and neighbors, and other workawayers, with whom I spent very good times during my stay. Particularly Frank was always a very caring person and willing to help you with anything he can, for what I will always be grateful.
In short, staying and working at here was an amazing experience which exceeded all my expectations and I would Definitely come back in the future if I have the opportunity.

Biruk has stayed with us for 2 month at the end of summer. His main duties consisted of work outside the Hotel; daily cleaning of the park, all lounge chairs and terraces. On a regular basis he mowed the lawn and trimed the bushes. He did also painting work on our wooden relaxing chairs. All works were carried out at our fullest satisfaction.
… read more Biruk is such a gentle, polite person, always on time and in good mood. He works very independent and is trustworthy. We can fully recommend Biruk to any future host, its a pleasure having him around. We hope to welcoming Biruk back in April 2024.
We stayed with Frank and Cristhine for 3 months and we have to say that we couldn't have asked for better. From the first day we felt part of their family, they are extremely generous, helpful and nice people! The work we had to do consisted of preparing breakfast and rooms for the new guests, doing the check-in, keeping the outside of the hotel
… read more tidy and everything else related to cleaning and maintaining such a business. The hotel is located in a wonderful place, surrounded by nature and silence. Often in the afternoons Christine would bake us all a cake to eat together (she's a crazy cook!) while Frank bakes delicious bread every week. For us, working with them was one of the best experiences with workaway. Highly recommended!
Andrea and Nicola stayed with us for 3 month. They took care of the entire housekeeping in our small hotel with 10 rooms, 2 Appartments and 2 sleeping barrels. From time to time they also prepared and served breakfast for up to 20 guests with lots of home made items.
We could not have wished for better co-workers. Both are quick learners and hard

For this reason we decided to extend our permanence there, and say goodbye was not easy for us. I assisted Frank with housekeeping in the B&B for seven weeks, where the provided breakfast was delicious, and my hard work and eye for detail were appreciated. … read more pleasant experience overall; the quiet lifestyle of the countryside was soothing, and the daily long walks allowed me to discover the area while contemplating life. I also had the opportunity to pursue my passion for wildlife photography; the nearby forests were buzzing with wildlife, so capturing beautiful photos of deer was the highlight of my day almost every day. It was also fascinating to observe how the surrounding fields were transformed by the changing season as winter was approaching, and interesting to get a sneak peek into the work of the local farmers. I worked 2 and a half months in the hotel and it was a really wonderful stay.
The surrounding area in may and june is incredible and there are excellent bike trails all over the area.
Frank is a very generous and kind host, is very supportive and his friendly and funny attitude makes it fun to be around him.

I spent a beautiful September in the hotel and always felt very welcomed and appreciated. It's a renovated traditional German building in a village (not far from a cute old town) surrounded by fields and forests - a perfect place for those who love nature, deer-watching, and bike-riding. The kind of help needed is housekeeping so I was occupied setting up the rooms for new guests, hall area, sometimes preparing the tables for breakfast and very little garden work. I enjoyed learning how to maintain the beauty and cleanliness in the perfectionist German style which I'm a big fan of. I miss this shiny world!
The accommodation was in a cozy single room for personnel in the hotel building, the meals provided.
Frank the owner is a brilliant hospitality professional, bakery magician, and just such a sweet person. He did so much for me by arranging my legal stay with official institutions, and finding vegetarian food for me))
Christine is so interesting to talk to, I wish we could have more time together.
My colleague Kati shared her housekeeping knowledge with me (and the tips every time - that was so surprising and nice).
Emma the part-time helper generates so much energy and fun that can heat the pizza looking at it.
Matias the technical helper is a smiling friendly gentleman.
And Uva the doggie is a shy curly cutie =) I believe she knows some Russian now.
I've also spent one lovely brunch with our village neighbors listening to guitar and songs.
