Spanish/English couple who have taken on the restoration of an old finca with lots of neglected olives and almonds. Busy time coming up pruning trees and making firewood, also building work on the cortijo. We have a mule and a donkey to help out, plus dogs, cats, and chickens. Maybe a week´s help needed or two, depending on weather. Accomodation is basic but hot showers and healthy food plentiful.

We have recently returned to the place where my partner grew up as a small child and are busy restoring the place to a working finca after decades of neglect. You´ll learn skills and a way of life that only the older generation remember including working with a mule, planting and grafting, harvesting olives and almonds, not to mention building restoration. You'll learn spanish hopefully and lots of local dishes and cooking traditions.
Looking for person who speaks some spanish to help with work on the land, logging and building. Starting asap. If you're nearby, then please get in touch.
5 hours a day with option to do more for pocket money. probably suit strong male with some building and chainsaw experience .Driver an advantage, it´s a 25 min walk to town.

Caravan with own bathroom, shared use of kitchen and everything else the tiny cortijo has to offer.
Bus from Malaga or Torre del Mar to Village of Competa then 5 min drive or 20 min walk. We have animals, eat some meat and fish but not lots, and accept smokers. Potential for right person to work on and off indefinitely here.
