  Description

  We are seeking a responsible and energetic individual to join us for an inexpensive European Vacation in early October.
  
  We are a retired, adventurous couple in our 70s who want to experience a two-week, self-guided boat tour of Canal du Midi in early October. We are not handicapped, but we suspect we will need occasional help primarily with boat ropes in locks and docking.
  
  In exchange for your assistance, we will provide free room and board for two weeks aboard a comfortable canal boat in southern France.
  
  To be considered, you must arrange your own transportation to and from Toulouse France.
  
  We know southern France very well because we spend three months there each year. We will have a car and can provide local transportation and site-seeing advice.
  
  We will provide our references and expect you to do the same.
  
  This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone, especially someone in their "gap-year" or looking for an adult guided/chaperoned trip to Europe.

  We're limited just by our age ... no wheelchairs, canes, crutches, walkers, etc. I'm willing to go on this trip by ourselves, but my wife is worried that we might have occasional difficulty with boat ropes when docking or when going through canal locks which a younger person would be helpful with and could do easily.
  We haven't picked out a boat yet, but we'll provide for you a private cabin possibly with a private bath (but not guaranteed). You must be with us when boating -- about three hours a day; outside of that you can be on your own. We will prepare meals mainly on the boat and share them all with you. but you must provide your own funds for alcohol and restaurants, although we'll have a bottomless carafe of wine to which you will be welcome (within reason 🤔)
