Description
I have a landscaping business and a farm with few african pygmi goats, a dog and a cat. I have my staff for the landscaping business but would need help to have the farm running smoothly as well. We just moved here last autumn and the surroundings are full of projects and dreams how to make this farm an awesome place to live. Planning to start a sheep farm, maybe an animal shelter and also to have few chickens and ducks running around. The house is a duplex that is going to be partially renovated during the coming year. The farm is waiting for its purpose and great ideas are welcome! I am looking for a general handy man/woman who loves animals and is willing to help with some these upcoming projects. Given that I am in the gardening business I also have a large garden and will need some help maintaining it. The farm is located right next to Tampere - the second largest city in Finland. Bus and other services (small shopping center) is just 3 minute walk from the house and it takes about 25 minutes to downtown Tampere. The buses run until late, so it is easy to hop on and go to see a late night movie or go for a dinner with friends. Tampere is a student city (with quite a few foreigners), so meeting people and getting new friends should be easy.

Free lodging, food, and wage. Given the flexible hours during your stay you can get some travelling in as well. And when my schedule allows I am happy to show and take you around to places of your interest. I have been an exchange student and have lived abroad for years while in the University. Now in turn I want to give an opportunity for someone to come and experience Finland.

The tasks will vary, and I am willing to teach new skills. The most important and required duties are animal care and general maintenance of the farm.

Hébergement
The house is a duplex, so there are few bedrooms upstairs to choose from. I can provide a private bathroom right next to the room. Kitchens are downstairs and both have fridges and stoves. Given my busy schedule and sometimes late hours at work, some cooking skills from your part would be a good thing, so you can make your own meals. I will provide basic food items (pasta, rice, veggies, meat etc.) that you can make your meals from. There is a Wifi connection and possibilty to watch Netflix. And of course there is a sauna at the premises - we are in Finland after all.
