  Description

  We are Mariví and Ramón, two people brought together by creativity, art and the desire to share meaningful experiences with others. At the end of 2024 we found a large house in the beautiful village of Vilafamés. Since then, we have been dedicating our time and energy to transforming it into a home where art, creativity and peace are part of our everyday life, as well as the experience of the people who come to stay with us.
  
  Both of us create our own artwork from home. We paint, draw, write, play music...
  
  The house already has several creative spaces, an art studio and many quiet corners where you can read, draw or simply let new ideas emerge. We enjoy sharing our home with creative people and hope that everyone who stays with us feels at home.
  
  We are both now retired—Mariví after many years working as a midwife, and Ramón after teaching at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Valencia. This gives us the time and energy to dedicate ourselves almost entirely to restoring our home. At the moment, we are finishing two guest rooms and beginning the transformation of an old wine cellar into our own personal sculpture and ceramics workspace. We would especially appreciate help with preparing and painting walls, restoring and upcycling old furniture, basic DIY, light masonry and general maintenance.
  
  Above all, we are looking for kind, creative, respectful and easy-going people who enjoy working together in a peaceful atmosphere and who value joy, openness and respect for others.
  
  This is a completely personal and family project. It is not a business or a commercial activity. Workawayers will only be helping us with the renovation and improvement of our private home and our personal creative spaces.

  Somos Mariví y Ramón, dos personas unidas por la creatividad, el arte y las ganas de crear comunidad. A finales de 2024 encontramos en Vilafamés una gran casa llena de posibilidades. Desde entonces estamos dedicando nuestra energía a transformarla en un hogar donde el arte, la creatividad y la tranquilidad formen parte de nuestra vida cotidiana y de las personas que nos visitan.
  
  Ambos desarrollamos nuestra propia obra artística desde la casa. Pintamos, escribimos, dibujamos, tocamos instrumentos...
  
  La casa ya cuenta con varios espacios destinados a la creación, un estudio artístico y rincones tranquilos donde detenerse, leer, dibujar o simplemente dejar que aparezcan nuevas ideas. Nos gusta compartir nuestra casa con personas creativas para que durante su estancia se sientan como en casa.
  
  Ambos estamos ahora jubilados, Mariví como matrona y Ramón como profesor de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Valencia, por lo que tenemos tiempo y energía que hemos dedicado casi en exclusiva a rehabilitar este hogar para poder ser compartido. En este momento necesitamos ayuda para terminar dos habitaciones y para empezar a convertir la bodega en un lugar donde trabajar la escultura y la cerámica. Serían bienvenidas personas con habilidades en preparación y pintura de paredes, reciclado de muebles viejos, nociones generales de albañilería...
  
  Pero sobre todo seres que lo hagan todo fácil, creativos, armoniosos, comprometidos con la alegría de vivir y el respeto a las diferencias.
  
  -Este es un proyecto completamente personal y familiar. No es un negocio ni una actividad comercial; simplemente estamos rehabilitando nuestra casa para vivir en ella y disfrutar de nuestra pasión por el arte y la creatividad.-

  We'll share homemade Mediterranean meals, conversations, walks, ideas and creative time together. We want the house to be a place where people can work, rest and connect through art and everyday life.
  
  If you're an artist—or simply someone who enjoys creating—you'll find peaceful spaces where you can paint, write, draw or work on your own projects during your free time.

  Queremos que las personas que vengan no solo vengan a ayudar, sino que vivan una experiencia inspiradora.
  
  Compartiremos comidas mediterráneas caseras, conversaciones, paseos, ideas y tiempo creativo. Nos gusta que la casa sea un lugar donde las personas puedan trabajar, descansar y también conectar con otras formas de entender el arte y la vida.
  
  Si eres artista o simplemente disfrutas creando, encontrarás espacios donde pintar, escribir, dibujar o desarrollar tus propios proyectos durante tu tiempo libre.

  Aide

  We are looking for help to continue improving our home. At the moment, we are finishing two guest rooms and beginning the transformation of an old wine cellar into our own personal sculpture and ceramics workspace.
  
  Some of the tasks include:

  Professional experience isn't necessary. We value attitude much more than skills: responsible, creative and thoughtful people who enjoy working together in a calm, friendly and respectful environment.

  Necesitamos ayuda para seguir dando vida a la casa. Estamos terminando dos habitaciones y comenzando la transformación de una antigua bodega en un espacio dedicado a la escultura y la cerámica.
  
  Nos vendría muy bien ayuda con tareas como:
  
  Preparación y pintura de paredes.
  Restauración y reciclaje de muebles.
  Pequeños trabajos de albañilería.
  Carpintería básica y mantenimiento.
  Organización y mejora de los espacios.
  
  No buscamos necesariamente profesionales. Valoramos mucho más la actitud que la experiencia: personas responsables, creativas, cuidadosas y con ganas de colaborar en un ambiente tranquilo y respetuoso.

  Vilafamés is officially recognised as one of Spain's most beautiful villages. Its medieval streets, castle and peaceful atmosphere make it a wonderful place to relax and find inspiration. The village is surrounded by seven natural parks and is only about 25 minutes from some of the Mediterranean coast's most beautiful beaches. We often visit places such as Sierra de Irta Natural Park, Torre la Sal, the coastline between Benicàssim and Alcossebre, and historic villages like Morella. There are two daily buses connecting Vilafamés with Castellón.

  Vilafamés está considerado uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España. Sus calles medievales, su castillo y su ambiente tranquilo lo convierten en un lugar perfecto para desconectar e inspirarse. Nos encontramos rodeados de siete parques naturales y muy cerca de algunas de las playas más bonitas de la costa mediterránea, a solo 25 minutos en coche.
  Podemos organizar excursiones a lugares como la Sierra de Irta, Torre la Sal, la costa entre Benicàssim y Alcossebre o pueblos históricos como Morella. Además, hay dos autobuses diarios que conectan Vilafamés con Castellón.

  Connection works perfectly fine. Both of us, plus the people coming, have always been using laptop with no problem at all. There are also areas in the house where you will find the needed privacy to focus during your shift if needed.
