  Description

  My name is Eki and I live in a small village in the north of Navarra, Zubieta. I am 28 years old and I am starting to build a small house and to elaborate a vegetable garden. So far, I have traveled and been in several different workaways and I have always had very good experiences with this kind of trips and volunteering. It seems to me a good alternative to travel and get to know the place and the people of the place you are going to. Now I would like to experience being a host and receiving people who are eager to get to know the place where I live and who are eager to help as much as possible.
  
  Me llamo Eki y vivo en un pequeño pueblo del norte de Navarra, Zubieta. Tengo 28 años y estoy empezando a construir una pequeña casa y a elaborar una huerta. Hasta ahora, he viajado y he estado en varios workaways distintos y siempre he tenido muy buenas experiencias con este tipo de viajes y voluntariados. Me parece una buena alternativa para viajar y conocer el lugar y la gente del sitio al que vayas. Ahora me gustaría experimentar el ser anfitrión y recibir gente con ganas de conocer el sitio donde vivo y que tengan ganas de ayudar en lo posible.

  Zubieta is a small Basque village of about 300 inhabitants. It is a good place to get to know the Basque culture, as we all speak Basque here. It is a very rural and quiet life in many ways, compared to the pace of the city. We live in a place surrounded by mountains and nature, so it is a good place for hiking. I like to meet people from different places and cultures and share each other's experiences. We live 45 minutes by car from the border with France and we are 1 hour from Iruña and Donostia, so you can reach us by bus from Doneztebe.
  
  Zubieta es un pequeño pueblo vasco de unos 300 habitantes. Es un buen lugar para conocer la cultura vasca, ya que aquí todos hablamos en vasco. Es una vida muy rural y tranquila en muchos sentidos, comparando con el ritmo de la ciudad. Vivimos en un lugar rodeado de montañas y naturaleza, por lo que es un buen lugar para practicar senderismo. Me gusta conocer gente de distintos lugares y culturas y compartir las experiencias de cada uno. Vivimos a 45 minutos en coche de la frontera con Francia y estamos a 1 hora de Iruña y Donostia, por lo que se podrian visaitar cogiendo autobuses que salen desde Doneztebe.

  Aide

  I am starting to build a small house from scratch, so the help I need is quite physical, although there will be different tasks like digging holes and trenches, building walls, bringing stones, moving material, extracting clay, gardening, planting.... It depends on the season in which people come. It would be nice if people with experience in construction could come, but even if you don't have experience there are jobs that anyone can do, as long as you have desire and attitude.
  
  Estoy empezando a construir una pequeña casa desde cero, por lo que la ayuda que necesito es bastante física, aunque habrá trabajos distintos como cavar agujeros y zanjas, construir muros, traer piedras, mover material, extraer arcilla, trabajos de huerta, de plantacion... depende de la temporada en la que venga la gente. Estaria bien que viniera gente con experiencia en construccion, pero aunque no se tenga experiencia hay trabajos que cualquiera puede hacer, siempre que se tengan ganas y actitud.

  Hébergement

  I live in an old (and cold in winter) house with two other friends. The land where I have the garden and the project is three kilometers away and we would go to work by car in the mornings. I offer a small room for people who want to come. In the house there is only one bathroom and a kitchen so we will have to share it all and collaborate to keep a minimum of order.
  We offer breakfast, food and dinner. I'm not a vegetarian but I'm trying to eat a sustainable diet and if you're a vegetarian I want to come, you don't have a problem.
  
  Vivo en una casa antigua (y fría en invierno) con otros dos amigos. El terreno donde tengo la huerta y el proyecto está a tres kilómetros de distancia y iriamos a trabajar en coche a las mañanas. Ofrezco un pequeño cuarto para la gente que quiera venir. En la casa hay solo un baño y una cocina así que tendremos que compartirlo todos y colaborar para mantener un minimo de orden.
  Ofrezco desayuno, comida y cena. Yo no soy vegetariano pero trato de tener una alimentacion sostenible y si alquien vegetariano quisiera venir, no habria ningun problema.

  Ofrezco alojamiento y comida por unas 4-5 horas de trabajo durante 5 días a la semana. En el pueblo no hay transporte público pero en Doneztebe (que está a unos 8 km de Zubieta) hay buses y podria ir a buscaros hasta Doneztebe.
  
  I offer room and food for about 4-5 hours of work for 5 days a week. In the village there is no public transport but in Doneztebe (which is about 8 km from Zubieta) there are buses and I could pick you up in Doneztebe.
