  Description

  Creating a paradise in the Algarve.
  
  Me and my best friend bought a abandoned and wild land in the middle of nature, but close to Aljezur and the best beaches of the west coast. Our dream is to transform this land into a divers and welcoming place, to share this with friends and to live in harmony with nature.
  
  We are ready to invite the first volenteers. We want to invite you to help us, alongside other like-minded people, to be part of the first steps of making the land livable. We will start building a wooden (prefab) house, creating infrastructure like water systems, solar set-up and pathways, work in the forest to be more wildfire resiliant and to bring back the native species and do landscaping and gardening tasks.
  
  We want to put everyone in their place of strength. We can share our permaculte knowledge, our skills in building and the process of buying a land and how to live 'off-grid'.

  - how to buy a land and our experience and lessons
  - fire resilianceness, how to create a fire safe place
  - reforestation, how to bring back the native forest
  - building skills
  - being and living in tune with nature
  - living off the grid

  Aide

  We would like to receive help for the following tasks:
  - build a wooden cabin
  - building structures with recycled materials like a greenhouse, bathroom and shed
  - creating pathways
  - forest maintenance, land clearing with simple tools (no chainsaw)
  - gardening, creating raised garden beds
  - and other small projects

  I'm a fluent English & Dutch speaker. I'm learning Portuguese, but this is what i practice still.

  Hébergement

  We offer simple tents & bedding which can we pitched where ever it's good.
  
  We don't have any housing yet. We prefer people with a campervan or car & tent. In this fase of our project it might be nice to have to freedom of your own transportation.
  
  We will supply the ingredients, veggies to cook delicious meals. We figure out what will be the best way to organise. We share the 'responsibility' of cooking for each other.

  Autres infos...

  We will chat about the best plan, it will be depending on your needs, our needs and the time of the year. The most important is the right balance between being free and working. As the surrounding is crazy beautiful, the mountens of Monchique (40 mim drive), the south cost (40 min drive), Aljezur (5 min drive) and the best surf beaches (15 min drive) it's nescesarry to enjoy this also.

  Yes, the Internet is good, but the electricity is limited. So we have to discuss the needs. But we also work online, part-time, so it works!

• 

  Espace pour garer des vans

  We prefer people with campervans or cars, then you'll be independent to go wherever you want to go. A car or van is essential to move around here. You can also bike, on the bike it's a 5 minutes ride to the little town: Rogil and 20 minuten from aljezur.

  Please bring your pets, we love them and they can be free on the land!
