  Description

  Hi! We are an English-speaking family in Brussels with two kids (Finley, 8, and Leila, 6), a cat, two guinea pigs, and a puppy. Mum is a professional violinist and sometimes needs to travel for concerts. We have regular babysitters and a cleaner, but we'd love to have an extra pair of hands around the house to keep our young dog company (he's an adorable little Havanese), and to do some light tidying and maybe occasional cooking if you enjoy that. And to have a back-up when Mum's away for the hour or two between the end of the school-day and when Dad gets home from his job at an international organisation.
  We live in a very beautiful part of Brussels, in Ixelles near the Etangs d'Ixelles. Our home is an apartment on three floors with a terrace and a garden. The lower level would be all yours - with a bedroom, nice shower room, and some extra space for you. You would be very welcome to eat with us or do your own cooking whenever you want to, and to add everything you need to our weekly shopping list.
  We speak English at home, the adults also speak French, and kids are learning! If you speak French that would be a bonus (but it's not necessary).

  Being based in Brussels for a while is a great opportunity to visit the beautiful cities and towns of Belgium, and Amsterdam, Paris, and London are all easily reachable by train too. Depending of your interests, we can help you explore the music/cultural scene here (and get you some free tickets!), or could also arrange a visit to a big international organisation if that is of interest.

  Aide

  We would love to have someone around the house to keep our puppy company and to help out with light tidying and cooking. You'd only really be needed when Mum is away on tour, so we can arrange for you to have lots of free time too. Brussels is a great base for exploring!

  The entire lower floor will be for you. The kids' playroom is also there, but they never use it. You'll have a large bedroom, a nice shower room, and we can set up the playroom as a living room for you with a tv if you'd like to have your own space. You are welcome to eat with us or to do your own cooking, and you can add any food items you'd like to have to our weekly shopping list.

  We are well connected by public transport, and a 20 minute bus ride to the Central station, where you can travel to lots of interesting places in Belgium or abroad
