Description
We are an Indo-American couple who built a beautiful sanctuary in our 30 acre farm outside of Ayodhya, India. Our lives have been so blessed by hosting fellow travellers over the years. The space has been made beautiful through so many contributions and we have evolved so much through all the stories and sharing.
We work towards making the earth more sustainable. I develop and produce compostable packaging and my wife is an author and fabric artist (amongst many other things!). We have three beautiful girls and 2 wonderful dogs :)
We now spend most of our time in Portland, US but I am back at the farm every couple of months. Our wonderful friend Zuby is based on the farm and is ensuring that we continue to share the richness of this space with as many travellers as we possibly can.
Our farm is mainly a mango and lychee orchard and we also have a large pond where we are working on growing foxnuts. We are looking to work more with nature and convert the property towards permaculture and natural farming.
Come and be in the space to rest your weary (travel) bones and contribute with your talents. We look forward to your energy.

There is lots to do in the area. We also run schools and manufacturing facilities to explore. The town has many interesting sights from the mythology Ramayana and numerous nearby towns like Lucknow, Varanasi, Allahbad etc that can be explored.
Happy to provide bikes, motorcycles, scooters for exploration.
Also kayaking, swimming, delicious Indian and international food, yoga classes, group meditation, several books available and more.

We set up our own tower as we were remote and had to make sure we have access. You can literally work from anywhere on the property (including a boat on the pond :))

I had a wonderful time staying at the farm. I spent a month at the farm, gardening and working in the kitchen garden. As well as giving some English classes at the school Ved’s organisation runs in central Ayodhya. The staff where most kind and accommodating. I will miss the evening bonfires and chess games. Nil stayed with us for a little bit more than a week. He is a fun guy to be around. Nil helped us with our kitchen garden and farm. He made this amazing insect repellent by all natural ingredients available in the farm, now everyone here spray it before heading to the fields. Nil is a good cook too. Will miss your Tortillas, Nil.

It s my better experience as volunter. I have met very nice people, interesting, funny... Who loves life !! And I could discovered lot of thing like, make a paper :) India ceremony ( too much food but very tasty and too much techno !) India hairdresser ( you know with the special massage of head ) tourism in the country with bike ...

Ved and Kim were kind enough to have me stay with them for a few days before my visa expired. I had an amazing experience staying on the farm - everyone there was extremely kind and hospitable, and the property was absolutely gorgeous! Ved was even kind enough to make arrangements for me to teach hula hooping to the local school children!!
