  Aloha dear travellers,
  
  first of all I want to say thank you to everybody who gets in touch with me on this platform here. I did not expect to get so many messages and realized that doing the communication here can be a full-time-job if I get back to everybody with the appreciation it normally deserves. But as there are other things going on on the finca and in my life in general, this is unfortunately not possible, I will still try to get back to at least most of you - if you don't get any reply or if it takes maybe a bit longer I hope for your understanding.. 🙏
  
  I am Julia and I live on a beautiful 7-acre finca in Andalusia (about 40 minutes drive inland from Malaga).
  
  My great vision is to create an oasis that gives guests the space to:
  - come into peace,
  - connect with nature,
  - recharge on energy,
  - exchange thoughts and ideas,
  - take new impulses with them and/or
  - find (back to) themselves.
  
  Since there is always a lot to do and next to the general maintanance of this beautiful place there are many (partial) projects pending, I am looking for friendly and freethinking people who would like to help me with all the work that needs to be done. Specifically, I am looking for help with clearing up the place, doing several renovation projects and gardening (pruning / tidying up / redesigning) for 5 days a week for 4 hours each.

  Upcoming sub-projects with prioritiy are currently e.g:
  - Partial bathroom renovation (mainly involves new tiles)
  - Filling cracks, painting and decorating in various rooms
  - Re-plastering a wall (outside)
  - Possibly also renovation of the pool (if someone dares to do this)
  - Wood renovation work
  
  There are a few areas in the gardens that would benefit from (more radical) pruning, and part of the garden also needs redesigning. There is also a short slope that needs steps.

  As it is generally physical work you should be physically fit!!! 😉
  
  In return we offer a great experience with:
  - Free accommodation and food*.
  - Use of the possibilities of the finca for your own purposes in your free time
  - Participation/co-riding in excursions and other trips somewhere if we go somewhere
  - The possibility to learn and develop together with and from us.
  
  *Food means: all standard kitchen supplies for breakfast, lunch ( rotating cooking of all roommates) and dinner. Not "included" are, for example: Sweets, desserts, snacks in between, beer or alcohol in general, tobacco products, all other " intoxicants", hygiene items like shampoo, shower gel etc. pp.
  
  We mostly eat vegetarian here (reduced meat comsume) but lunch can also be vegan if that is your diet. For breakfast and dinner everybody just takes and eats whatever is needed, lunch we normally have together and one of who is here cooks in rotation.
  
  
  I wish for
  - Motivated basic attitude ("I may" instead of "I must")
  - Willingness to learn
  - Wilingness to adapt to do things in maybe a different way than you normally do at home
  - Personal responsibility, reliability and thinking along
  - Attentive handling of the finca, all inventory, tools etc.
  - Healthy understanding of order and cleanliness
  - Help in the household
  - Self-responsible maintenance of your own room (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing bedding,...)
  - At least medium level of English or German skills to have good communication basics with each other
  - Open and honest ("non-violent") communication -> talking to each other instead of about each other
  
  
  In the summer months it can get quite HOT here in the interior of the country. There won't be many days with a maximum temperature less than 30°, also days with more than 35°. Then we move the work to the cooler hours of the day if possible and there are also shady places and a pool to bypass especially the midday heat, but nevertheless I would like to mention this because not everyone does well with it. Who likes to get up early gets along quite well, who likes to sleep longer may then just deal with the heat 😉
  
  During winter months it can be quite chilly until mid of march (more or less), with temperatures often still in the single digits at night and in the single or double digits during the day. Rainy days are possible at any time, but rarely are there many days of rain in a row. Generally speaking, the weather here inland can always be a little more extreme than on the coast. On sunny days, it is almost always pleasant to be outside during the day because the sun is always quite strong. But at least when the sun is gone, it can get chilly. Our house is not really insulated against the cold and there is no heating system in the bedrooms. There is a wood-burning stove in the kitchen, which we fire when it's cold and which warms at least parts of the house a bit, but the bedrooms can't be heated and there is no other chance to stay warm during the night besides crawling into some blankets with a hot water bottle (and/or maybe your travel partner)... 😁
  
  And another info regarding the mobility: In principle, an arrival without car would be possible by picking you up, for example, from the nearest train station (Pizarra). However, we are here a bit at the "ass of the world", walking to the next town takes about a good hour each way, everything else is actually not to reach without own transport. Of course you can join me in my car if I go somewhere (depending on what's going on), but I can't and don't want to provide a "driving service" during your time here. Another possibility is to rent a car from Malaga, if you want to be mobile and are not already on the road with your own car. All in all, it is advisable to have your own vehicle so that you are flexible and can move around independently.
  
  I am looking forward to ADULTS who are traveling alone or in pairs, please NO CHILDREN! Dogs may be possible if your dog is not consistently messing around, is fine with cats and a doggie sleeping space outside the bedroom is fine.
  
  If it fits and all sides are happy, a longer period might also be possible (depending on room availabilities and what's going on here in general), but we would then discuss this here on site after a kind of "trial period" and not determine in advance....
  
  I wish for people who really want to actively help and do something in these 5 x 4 hours per week, outside of these periods there is enough space to chill and relax or do your own stuff.
  
  I am originally from Germany and speak German, English and a bit of Spanish. I am open minded and always happy to have people here as there is always a lot to learn from each other. And of course I am happy about exchange with each other, but I also need space for myself. So whoever is bad with himself and needs entertainment 24/7 will not feel comfortable here. Naturally, the amount and intensity of the exchange will depend on the "intersections" between us. Of course, we try to find out in advance whether there are enough of them so that all participants (you and we) can enjoy the time here on the finca together.
  
  It is in general a quiet and remote place, for people who enjoy nature and silence it is the perfect location, others might feel lonely and isolated - just depends on the point of view...
  
  Also it is a countryside place and there are bugs, ants, spiders and mosquitoes around (the bedrooms have mosquito nets).
  
  Don't get me wrong and I do not want to badmouth our place, I am just trying to point out some possible disadvantages in advance for not giving you wrong expectations 😉
  
  One more permanent co-habitant is our dog "Chica", she is still young and full of energy, but really friendly and is always happy about some human attention. So you shouldn't be scared of dogs or have any allergic reaction to animal hair.. Also we have 2 cats, so you also should be happy with cats and don't have cat hair allergies..

  I am happy to share my lifestyle in general, knowledge about permaculture aspects, plants and how to grow them, how to make your own bread or other food related things if you are interested, perspectives of life etc pp. And I am looking forward to learn from you if you have something to share. In general, all human interaction can be a great field of learning and I am always happy about new lessons in the "school of life" 😉 Naturally, the amount and intensity of the exchange will depend on the "intersections" between us. Of course, we try to find out in advance whether there are enough of them so that all participants (you and we) can enjoy the time here on the finca together.

  Depending on your skills and the priorities of what needs to be done here we will see in which tasks you can support in the best way.
  
  There can be teamwork tasks involving all of us as well as individual tasks where you get an introduction, explanation and all necessary information about the respective tasks, which can then be completed as independently as possible.
  
  If you want to stay with us, you should be happy with both types of work organisation and feel confident about it 🙂

  Hébergement

  Depending on the situation and availability I can offer you a small single room close to the main house or a double room in the house. Standard bed lenght in Spain is only 190cms, so please keep that in mind when you are tall.
  
  One more thing about the single room is that this room may not be very suitable for tall humans (please see pictures and let's talk about that induvidually in case you are quite tall). So it is a cozy but simple room you would have for yourself, normally everybody here just use the bedrooms for nighttime and is somewhere else during the day anyway.
  
  If you are traveling with your own campervan a space for it close to the house or a bit further away could be another option. Bathrooms, kitchen and all other facilities will be shared with us.

  Autres infos...

  There are many things to do in your free time, depending on whatever you like. The next beaches are about 40 mins drive away from us, but there are also beautiful lakes to the other direction inland (also about 40 mins drive). If you want to enjoy city life Málaga is the closest one, day trips to Granada or Ronda are possible as well. Gibraltar is another option. Also there are many hiking options in the area here (Sierra de las Nieves) and there are others eg close to the beach in a natural reverve area or up a river bed (these 2 options are better for summer months). These are just a few options, there are a lot more and I am happy to give you more recommendations when you are here :-)
  
  Please keep in mind that (almost) all of these mentioned options require transport by car. If we go on a day trip and there is space in the car of course we would ask you if you want to join, but we will not be a general tour guide or driving service, so if you want to go somewhere exploring in general own transport options are recommended as already mentioned above in our general description 😉
  
  If you are interested in music,there are several instruments and you are welcome to use them while you are here.
  
  There are also some German, English and Spanish books in the library if you want to borrow and read one during your time here.

  Possibilité d’accueillir les digital nomads

  We have wifi that works normally quite well, BUT it can sometimes inbetween be a bit slow or interrupted. You can use our living room to work as we rarely use it ourselves. The wifi will be switched off at nighttime but works during the day. It is important for us that your main focus will NOT be your own remote work, we had it already in the past that the workaway agreement was not met any more at all because travellers were so busy with their own work and we don't want such situations any more...

  There are various options where you can park your campervan or caravan, depending on your needs and space we can discuss this further privately.

  Dogs may be possible if your dog is not consistently messing around, is easygoing with cats and a doggie sleeping area outside your bedroom is fine as we keep our bedrooms petfree 😉 Other animals can to be discussed individually.
