  Description

  Situated in the central Algarve, we (Anne and Frank with family) run the Quinta ourselves for most of the year and are expanding it bit by bit.
  It is a project of the heart: founded by the parents, we are now expanding through our co-operative to include land, trees and use.
  
  Interesting for people who enjoy building up and running an agricultural estate.
  AND: ...who like the sea! Because our place is a 30min foot-walk from the best beach and surf spot Praia do Galé.
  So it's a perfect combination of working an enjoying life.
  
  To have it clear: we are a non-profit - that means that none of the products from the farm is sold to the public. Its driven just for familiy and friends.

  Living and working on the Quinta is also characterised by interaction with one another. We live on the same property and work together.
  We have the opportunity to eat together at lunchtime or in the evening.
  We provide an introduction to the special work on the quinta - the participants learn about the special features of growing trees in sunny areas and how they are realised throughout the year.
  It is always nice to share experiences from other regions and circles - for mutual learning.

  Aide

  There are 2 main times when we are happy to help:
  1. end of August - end of September for the carob harvest
  2. from mid-January for planting new trees and fruit bushes and plantation maintenance

  Hébergement

  The accommodation for workawayers is a self-contained house with its own kitchen, terrace and outdoor shower room.
  The bedroom is suitable for 2 people - if necessary, a 3rd sleeping option can be used on the sofa in the living room.
  The house is close to the house, but can be entered and lived in separately.
  
  Meals are either cooked together or a meal allowance is provided.
  The accommodation has its own kitchen.

  Autres infos...

  As we are only 2 kilometres from the beaches (you can see the sea from the terrace), beach visits are a good idea.
  On Saturdays we go to the market in Armacao de Pera or to one of the many others.
  There are plenty of hiking tours in the region. But even more distant destinations are easily accessible by bus (the bus station is about 800 metres away).
