I spent a month there and really enjoyed living in such a beautiful place. Work was a mix of hotel management and hospitality tasks; housekeeping and cleaning primarily, working in the cafe and bar, and during weddings. … read more the outdoors, the hiking is incredible. My weekends were spent up Helm Cragg and Easedale Tarn, and the town of Grasmere is walking distance. Outside of work, I had time to myself and really loved the remote location. Thank you Alison and Simon for an experience I'm grateful for, and will never forget!
Amelia helped us so much during her stay, always with a smile and thoughtful communication. Even though it was short stay, we really appreciated her attention to detail and great way with customers. We wish you lots more wonderful adventures and would welcome you back in future. All the best!

I had the best time here, and if you love nature and the outdoors, I know you'll enjoy it too. Grasmere is a small town, surprisingly busy during the nice weather seasons, so there are a couple of things to do around there. Not only is the hotel in a stunning location with unbelievable hikes nearby, but the overall vibe of the place is so homey

this was a awesome experience where I felt immersed into the family world force energybthat this place has with great people beautiful views (which words cannot be used to justify such beauty) bit over all the experience was a fun and energetic experience with alot of fun and friendly conversations to be had.

We had a unique experience at this place, which is surrounded by a true natural paradise as if we were in a Lord of the Ring scenarios. We did various types of work, such as painting and general repair assistance when the hotel was still under renovation. … read more met people from everywhere! This place is very charming and welcoming; has an atmosphere of William Wordsworth's poems and world of arts. One of the strong points were the innumerable friendships we made and all we could explore in this enchanting region.
