Description
In the years before, we travelled the world ( former pilote and flight Attendant) and finally settled down in the Provence verte and decided to help the " less fortunate". Together with my mother ( a former dental surgeon)
we have a private animal rescue station for unwanted animals ( dogs, cats, chicken, 2 faisans, guinea pigs and birds and turtle). There is always a lot of work every day with the animals and also on the land ( fixing cages , fencing, volieres, cleaning etc). It is run by our trio, all not very young anymore, although luckily still fit and motivated! We could use a helping hand (s) on the every day life. For example painting our wooden annexe or the Kota, helping with fencing, cleaning cat litter boxes, helping with animal duties as feeding, walking, monitoring or preparing shelters and keep the garden and animal parks in shape ( cutting grass and trimming bushes, watering etc)
We are located in the beautiful Haut Var, 2km from the basses gorges du Verdon ( hiking, canoeing, biking) and the lake of St Croix ( Swimming , Waters sports). Lavender fields nearby and also an truffle growing area. Lots of quaint provencal villages to visit. We have Kajaks or a Kanu to use, and are surrounded by pretty provencal villages with markets and festivals ( those in den summer months) In 2 hours you reach den southern alps for hiking/skiing and the ocean in the area of Toulon/Hyeres and Le Lavandou/St Tropez.
Time permitting, we will show or help you to explore this beautiful part of France.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

In a separate area, an equipped caravane is available ( with heating/airconditioning) The caravane has a small bathroom with a chemical toilet, a fixed bed ( suitable for 2) , a mini kitchen with a gas stove, a table and has electricity and WIFI access. Outside there is a toilet house with a campers toilet and a picnic table under the trees. "New" we also have a hut with a hot gaz shower, for sole use. The area is fenced, so a dog can be kept safe or there s space for to park a car. Towels and linen, dishes etc are provided.
In case our rental house in the neighbour village is not rented and the workawayer travels with a car ,there is a possibility to stay also there.Autres infos...
Driving licence and if possible a car is needed. Not much public transport here. We prefer longer stays ( one month and more) as you need time to get to know everything and how daily routine works.
We are a non smoking group. Smoking inside the house or cabin is not permitted. 2kmr the house is a beautiful gorge with a hiking pass along the gorge. You can use our Kajaks to explore it or if prefered rent an electrical boat.
There is also an interesting prehistoric museum in Quinson, with animated explanations and a prehistoric village which is rebuilt. Every village has a weekly market and there are lots of possibilities to hike, nearby. About 30 min away you find several quaint villages ( Cotignac with the cave houses, Aups with the truffle market and Sainte Croix, on the shore of the large and very beautiful Lac de St Croix)Informations complémentaires
