  Description

  Welcome to Puerto Jiménez, a hidden gem on the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica! Our small local village embodies the laid-back pura vida lifestyle, where nature is at your doorstep and adventure is around every corner. Just a 10-minute walk from the beautiful shores of the Golfo Dulce, you'll have the chance to spot whales, dolphins, scarlet macaws, and hummingbirds in our lush garden oasis. We also share our garden with some friendly iguanas that hang out in our mango tree — our so-called “pets”!
  
  We are a family of three: Myself (Lubna), and my two sons — Naïm, who is almost four years old, and Noë, who is 10 months old. We're currently building our dream project, , little by little. Our first focus is the Guesthouse. One of the two rooms in the guesthouse is for the workawayer; the other is rented out to guests.
  
  
  We’d love to share this special journey with passionate, reliable people who want to live close to nature and enjoy simple, meaningful living.

  We believe in creating an enriching cultural exchange that allows both our family and Workawayers to grow and connect. There are plenty of opportunities for you to engage with the local community and share meaningful experiences with us.
  
  You'll have access to the surfboards we have here. The beautiful beaches nearby make this an ideal place to improve your skills or discover a new passion for the waves.
  
  I, Lubna, speak four languages fluently—French, English, Dutch, and Spanish—and would be happy to teach you some language skills. With a background in business, marketing, and sales, I can also share insights, train you, or answer any questions you may have about growing a business. You’ll gain valuable experience, especially if you're curious about entrepreneurship.
  
  As part of our efforts to connect with the local community, we love visiting the local markets, going on nature hikes through the lush Costa Rican landscape, and taking part in jam music sessions, where I sing. These activities will give you a genuine taste of life in Puerto Jiménez and help you bond with locals while enjoying Costa Rica’s rich culture and environment.
  
  We’re eager to learn from your culture, too. We hope to foster an open-minded, collaborative space where we all exchange skills, experiences, and perspectives.
  
  Come with your own unique background, and we’ll work together to create unforgettable memories!

  Aide

  We’re looking for Workawayers who can help us primarily with childcare (being good with kids is essential), cleaning, and maintaining the house and garden. We also appreciate hands-on support with small building or DIY projects when needed.
  
  We are looking for someone to help us with the kids (being great with children is very important!), as well as cleaning, helping with cooking, and maintaining the garden and house.
  
  We are also happy to welcome skilled individuals who can support us with building projects, painting, or carpentry — there's always something to create or improve around here!
  
  If you speak French, English, or Spanish and enjoy being around young children, that’s a big plus!
  
  If you’re ready for an adventure and want to contribute to a meaningful family project in the heart of nature, we’d love to welcome you!

  Hébergement

  we offer simple but comfortable accommodations to make your stay pleasant and relaxing. We have two guest rooms:
  
  The bedroom has two single bed, it can be arranged as a bunk bed or two single beds, depending on what works best.
  
  You’ll either have the room to yourself or share it with another Workawayer, depending on availability and preferences. Just let us know which setup you'd feel most comfortable with.
  
  There’s a shared guest bathroom equipped with the essentials, and you’ll also have access to a fully equipped kitchen for shared use.
  
  Outside, you’ll find a lush garden and a small plunge pool — perfect for cooling off after a day of work or enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
  
  During the workweek, we offer fruit for breakfast, water and tea throughout the day, and ingredients for cooking your own three meals per day. Sometimes we can also eat together. This depends on if you like to cook and take cooking shifts for example.
  
  Our home is meant to be welcoming, flexible, and feel like family — a place where you can contribute, connect, and enjoy the pura vida lifestyle.
