Description
We are a group of friends, musicians, and artists who founded 5 years ago a cultural association and collective living space in a rehabilitated seminary.
Our dream was to create a space for exchange and new creations.
We host artistic residences, mostly but not exclusively, theater and music projects. We also organize events open to the public such as concerts, poetry, theater, performances, workshops, etc.
The town where we live has a population of less than 200 with no services. It is very quiet and located in a idyllic setting, 20 minutes by car from the most beautiful beaches of Catalonia, just 10 minutes from the city of Figueras, 30 minutes from Girona and 1 hour from Perpignan.
We are very grateful for the collaboration of all the workawayers who will or have come to pass and help us on our mission. Without them, all that we have been building and sharing would not be possible!!!

We (10 adults and 3 kids) are from different nationalities: Catalan, Spanish, Italian, French, Canadian ... we are musicians, actors, painters, performers, poets, architects, gardeners .... The activities we host are as diverse as we are!

Estamos en el Alt Emporda a 15 minutos de Figueres ( Museo Dali') a 20 minutos de Girona y de las playas mas bonitas de la costa catalana y también a solo 1h.30 de Barcelona .

Aide
The space is very big and we need help mostly for its maintenance. There is always a lot to do. When it is high season (mostly spring and summer), we need help running the events: cleaning, cooking and keeping the general order in the common areas. During the low season (fall and winter) we generally do renovation work, gardening work, and daily cleaning and maintenance.
The work is very varied, sometimes more interesting than others! The dynamic changes from one season to the other, or from one week to the next, and depends on the events taking place at any given time. Therefore, some weeks might have little to no activity, and the place is practically empty, with a very calm and solitary atmosphere, while other weeks are very busy and full of people, excitement and activity! We can have between 1 and 6 volunteers at a time.

Hébergement
In exchange for your help, we offer accommodation and food. We generally share a collective meal at lunchtime.
If it is a quiet season, we have a few individual bedrooms for guests and volunteers. Otherwise, the accommodation is in a shared dorm room. All very spacious and bright rooms! There are infinite indoor and outdoor common spaces, a big garden and pool in summer!

I can recommend this place to people who need the rest from the city. Chapel was my favorite spot to relax :)
