Description
Hey nice and interested people out there,
We would like to live and work with you, while showing you the life and the astonishing nature of the Southern Blackforest. We are a family of three including me and my two sons. Sebastian is 25 years old and is currently studying Agriculture. Simon is 27 years old and working near by as a social worker. In their free time they are often around to help. From time to time we also have friends stay and help us on the farm. Also, two cats and one dog are a part of our family.
Our family runs two old typical farms here in the biosphere reserve, a type of National Park, at 1000 meters high. Its located near the border of Switzerland and France.
Our work is based on the care and preservation of the meadows to support the growth of special local plants. For these reasons we have goats and highland cattle. Furthermore we are also taking care of some horses, doing gardening, working in the forest or restoring our farms.
We host people who stay for minimum one week and we prefer longer stays. Due to recent experiences we would be glad if you make sure that you will not change your plans easily and shortly before you are supposed to come! People who do so without a serious reason will get a fitting public feedback. We have to organise our time and space. If we give a place to one person often we have to chancel the stay of another who might have loved to come.

Our daily work includes things like building fences, making firewood and bringing animals from one meadow to another. In general, we always appreciate help and besides the things we have to do, we are free for potential things in which you are interested in.

I work halftime in a city from where you can go by train to Freiburg, Basel in Switzerland or to France. But also the area arround our village is absolutly worthfit to see.
