Randi, Simon and Neve are a very busy but loooovely family!
We can't say it's a job, a work. You have a lot of free time. The main job is to take care about the sweetie Neve when she is back back home after school and/or her activities.
She is a little girl very very clever. Sometimes she will be happy to play with you, sometimes she will prefer
… read more to be alone with her dolls, so you can prepare diner or do something else around the house, kepping an eye on her.
About the place, the accommodation is just amazing. You have your own suit with kitchen, bathroom, living room, and you can take what you want to eat in their kitchen.
You won't miss something there!
There are many hike to do, some pub to go for the night, etc..
We also went to Whistler the two weekends we were there (with the other French girl). What a chance!!!

Let me start with this: Nicole is amazing!!! She lived with us for most of the past year, mostly helping look after our 5-year old daughter for after-school care, but also helping around the house (gardening, cooking and cleaning when needed, etc) . She really became part of our family, and our community too, and we loved having her with us. My
… read more daughter laughed so much with her - the best sound a mom can hear! She was so friendly with everyone she met, and flexible, independent, willing and capable of anything, taking initiative when she could see something needed to be done. Such great qualities. From Day 1 we knew we could relax, as our daughter was happy and well taken care of when we needed to be at work or taking care of other things. We also loved that she was up for anything ... learning to ski, coming sailing with us, meeting new people and going exploring on her own whether on the trails or beaches on our island, or venturing further. She was such a great fit for our family, and we will welcome her back any time! Before she came to us, her reference told us 'the only bad thing about her is that you won't want her to leave"... he was right! :)

I spent 10 months with Randi, Simon and Neve and feel so incredibly lucky to have found them! From day one they welcomed me into their home and made me feel like part of their family. … read more I miss her laughter already! The apartment downstairs is amazing and completely set up with a kitchen, bathroom etc for you to do your own thing.
Bowen is the most beautiful place and I never got tired of exploring its trails and beaches. If you love the outdoors you will love it here. I was lucky enough to go sailing with the family and skied in Whistler multiple weekends in winter. Randi and Simon were also kind enough to make sure my schedule was free enough for me to get part time work too. They are literally the best, and to future workawayers, you will have so much fun! Bowen is a very special place and it will be hard to leave. To Randi, Simon and Neve- thank you again, I love you guys!

Sally lived with us for a month this summer, and we really enjoyed having her with us! Our daughter took to her right away and had lots of fun with her. There were lots of laughs with all of us, and she fit right in. We were very happy to hear she would be coming back to Bowen after some other travels so we could visit again!

The apartment is really nice and I enjoyed to have that privacy, but it's even nicer to become part of the family and spend some time with all of them.

… read more quiet and loves to sit and read, so enjoyed having time to herself as well, and we found a nice balance with this. She also kept our garden alive during a very hot summer here and is a great cook! We feel lucky that we found her — her help was very appreciated and hopefully we’ll cross paths again someday. My time spent with the family and on Bowen was just wonderful! I stayed for two months over the summer and the island is lovely to explore with lots and trails and many beaches.
The suite is a complete apartment for yourself with lots of privacy which I really enjoyed. Neve is an exuberant child and will keep you busy and the family is friendly,
… read more outgoing and fun. They travel most weekends and always keen to invite you along. They don’t have a housekeeper so someone who enjoys cleaning, tidying and gardening would be appreciated here.
I felt lucky to have found them and so will you.
