  Hey!
  We are looking for a helping hand for our family :): We are a German-Icelandic family with 3 children. My name is Janina and I am currently on maternity leave.
  Snædís will be 8 in April, Snæþór will be 6 in December and Snævar will be 1 in July.
  The older ones speak both Icelandic and German. The little one is also being raised bilingually :).
  My husband works in Reykjavík, but will probably be home on parental leave again in the summer.
  We live in Þorlákshöfn - a village that is 40 minutes by car from Reykjavík :).
  It is also important to mention that I breed Norwegian Forest Cats and we currently have 8 cats at home.

  Wir sind auf der Suche nach einer helfenden Hand fuer unsere Familie :): Wir sind eine deutsch-islaendische Familie mit 3 Kindern. Ich heisse Janina und bin im Moment noch in Mutterschutz.
  Snædís wird im April 8, Snæþór wird im Dezember 6 und Snævar wird im Juli 1 Jahr alt.
  Die Grossen sprechen sowohl isländisch als auch deutsch. Der Kleine wird auch zweisprachig erzogen :).
  Mein Mann arbeitet in Reykjavík, wird im Sommer aber wohl nochmal zu Hause in Elternzeit sein.
  Wir wohnen in Þorlákshöfn - ein Dorf welches 40 Minuten mit dem Auto von Reykjavík entfernt ist :).
  Wichtig zu erwähnen ist auch noch, dass ich norwegische Waldkatzen züchte und wir im Moment 8 Katzen zu Hause haben.

  You will be able to see beautiful nature here and experience a completely different life :). After a 9-week au pair stay, I was so enthusiastic about Iceland that I ended up emigrating a year later.
  
  Du wirst hier wunderschöne Natur sehen können und ein ganz anderes Leben erleben :). Ich selbst bin nach einem 9woechigen Au-Pair Aufenthalt so begeistert von Island gewesen, dass ich schlussendlich ein Jahr später ausgewandert bin.

  Wir leben in einem Haus mit 8 Katzen. Du wirst dort natürlich dein eigenes Zimmer haben :)

  We don't have an extra car, but if you arrange it, it's usually possible to get one from us :)
  
  Wir haben kein Extraauto, aber wenn man sich abspricht ist es meist moeglich ein Auto von uns zu bekommen :)
