Description
Hi there,
We are a Hostel in Leon - Nicaragua.
The hostel is started by Dutch couple Wouter & Sophie in 2017. We now have 2 hostels , with space for 64 guests in total. The Hostel is the more social place and the junior hostel is more tranquilo and offers workspaces. We try to create a great social and safe vibe for our guests and staff. We are proud to say that we have a 100% local team: 8 receptionists, 1 bartender, 5 cleaningladies and 3 nightguards. They are working with us already for years and we became a true family. We are looking for a volunteer, who can help the team with the language barrier and connect the guests with the locals so everybody can have the local experience!

Had the best time volenteering at this hostel, the only bad bit was leaving! This was a really fun volenteering experience, I constantly had opportunities to meet and chat with new travelers and locals aswell as explore Leon.

I spent a little under a month and had a good time. There is a little bit of misinformation in the workaway ad so I wanted to make sure some things were cleared up. Cindy was the perfect volunteer, a lot of energy, always smiling and very wiling to do some extra work. She did her job (social and activities) really well and truly enjoyed it. She could have stayed a lot longer if she wanted.

These guys are the best! The passion they have for running an excellent hostel shows in everything they do, including how they work with their volunteers.
Wout & Sophie are understanding & considerate of their volunteers needs, and place a lot of importance on communication. In short, they are excellent hosts and we had a great stay in León.

We have had the pleasure of working with Hannah and Finn for 2 weeks, they are absolute legends! We were sad that had to leave us. The helped us out with cleaning to bathroom facilities and rooms, next to that they also did other small jobs in and around the hostel. It was my first ever workaway experience. I stayed there for 2 weeks. It was definitely worth it! Leon is a nice city to visit, I got to meet a lot of nice people, locals and travellers. I really enjoyed the carpentry work and there is still a lot to be done. Wouter and Sophie are great hosts and it was a pleasure being around them!
