Since the last experiences I feel the need to clarify that hosting a workawayer for us is a mutual exchange.
It seems that people - once they found an accomodation at our place and food plus any kind of involvement in our life to let them experience the culture - feel the need to ignore the working part.
No matter if we just agreed a couple of hrs in total in a week in order to let you enjoy the holiday part. We put all our kindness and our usual warmth when we open our doors to you but please remember what we agreed and do not wait us to wake you up / call you at the due time when we need your support! It s so frustrating!
Please if you choose us as a family, be informed that we accept only respectful people and willing to help not taking advantage of a full board accomodation! Thank you!
Dear Workawayer,
My name is Valentina and I am 44 years old, I work as an Adminstrative consultant together with my husband Alessandro ( 44) in our company.
We live in an indipendent house in San Gregorio di Catania, a little, safe town just 10 kms away from main city Catania, a beautiful place by the sea and with a mild temperature all the year.
Our town San Gregorio di Catania is very close to the main city of Catania and you could use the public transport for reaching also Acireale, a very beautiful barock town.
Our town offers everything you may need: shops, post office, pubs, supermarkets, gym, pharmacy, local organic market, free wi fi zone and catholic churches at a walking distance from our home. People here is friendly and the town is safe.

We are a fun, young family looking for a kind hearted fun WA to mix in
with our family. We really love hosting people and learn from other cultures. We love travelling and explore the world!
All the previous experiences with our workawayers have been so good due a very sincere and respectful relationship that we naturally tend to establish with everyone.

A little bit about our family:
We have one son Lorenzo age 12 years old, a daughter Flaminia who is 14 years old and a Emilia who is 4.
Emilia goes to the nursery and she is starting learning English.
The children are sporty and sweet. Flaminia likes to go skating and acting and Lorenzo likes playing music and tennis.
The eldest two can fluently communicate and understand english very well.
The WA we are looking for has to have a very good knowledge of English language.
Your help is required 4 days per week- 3 hrs in the afternoon -in supporting Emilia while playing or reading books in English.
You will be asked to spend the time doing any kind of suitable activities for her age as arts and crafts or reading books to improve her knowledge of the English language
-----Extra working project for long stay workawayers------
On Saturdays I wish to start an English playgroup for children around our area with your help. It will be focused on activities such as arts, crafts, books reading and singing songs in English.
This project will be paid extra money.

We would prefer having a WA with a degree in Education and sincerely interested in extending her knowledge in this field through a real life experience.
No night work is asked and just light housework (i.e. empty the dishwasher, vacuuming the dining room, tide up kids toys with their help...)

We will provide your own bedroom equipped with a Tv, Wi Fi access, and a private bathroom with a shower .

We have several cats that lives mostly in the garden.
