Martin is a delightful and interesting human! He was always willing to help with projects and spent most of his time holding down the fort while I was away on a family emergency. Knowing he was taking care of the farm was a huge relief. Martin is really fun and I would definitely recommend him for a workaway.

I had an epic stay at maria's farm. I stayed in the cabin in the forest and helped her with the super cute dogs ,the funny cows and work in the forest 😄. she is so cool and helpful. I really had an epic summer in Washington state. I briefly met porter, her son. I also had good conversations with him specially about motorsport. So overall I highly

My 4 month stay at the farm was one of the best times of my life. I woke up everyday to the sounds of nature with the opportunity to do something new. During my stay I watched a calf grow up, had epic bonfires, learned how to use a chainsaw, built fence, went to the dump, gardened, and wrangled cattle. Maria is the kindest and most selfless person

Leaving the farm left me with a new perspective on life and lifelong friends. I can't wait to go back!Laissé par l'hôte pour le workawayer (Luke)
We sadly had to say goodbye to Luke after he spent the past 4 months with us. I can't say enough about what a great experience it has been to have him here. Luke held down the fort while I worked and taught a class that required me to be away from home a lot of the time. He meticulously cared for farm animals, plowed snow and chopped firewood when

As soon as the snow melted enough to start burning brush, he only required initial burning and chainsaw instructions and was off regularly taking it upon himself to continue work on clearing the property. He loves to cook, too! Luke has a lot of common sense and is eager to learn new things. He's hard working, incredibly honest, and fun to be around. Everything from vaccinating cows to making pie crust was interesting to him. and never complained about difficult jobs, like pounding fence posts or digging holes. He will be sorely missed. You would definitely be fortunate to have him should he come workaway for you!

Maria was incredible! She taught us so many things about working with cattle, gardening and outside work in general. She worked alongside us and always had a kind word for us :) We're gonna miss being here so much!

Madeline was our first workawayer and it was an amazing experience! She has a really great work ethic and is strong! She was eager to learn how to do absolutely anything on the farm and in the woods. Having her in our home felt really natural because she's so sweet and thoughtful. She's very down to earth and a wonderful communicator. We were sad

Maria was a wonderful host. This was my first workaway and she made it very memorable. Maria is a strong, high energy, independent person. She taught me so many thing. Weather it was building a goat shed with a neighbor, pullstarting a 4wheeler for her son, insulating a cabin, and chopping down trees. I’m grateful I had this experience to meet
