Description
We’ve moved from our mountain acreage to a house in beautiful Victoria…Lots to do inside and outside!
We are now looking for help with painting and cleanup & with gardens and deck-building.
It’s easy to get to the ocean, Mt Tolmie, Mt Douglas, university of Victoria, various parks, shops, recreation centres, walking trails…
This is our 18th year as a hosts and we just love it. We’ve been away traveling a lot but with our new home we love the exchange of energy with travellers. Please let us know if you have any special skills:)..
We are an hard-working couple, and love to play games hike, bike, kayak, and read in our spare time.
Getting here is easy by bus.

Great first workaway experience!
I stayed with Henry and Sue for 9 days as my first workaway. They were both very welcoming and accommodating. Nice verity of work, fueled by Sue's amazing cooking and Henry's cookie stach! always followed by a game. Highly recommend:)

I had a great time with Sue and Henry. They are so lovely people. I really enjoyed their company and to playing their favourite card and board games with them. The work was nice and the food was amazing! Thank you very much for a great experience! :)

Oliver was great to host! He helped immensely around our new property- the most of which was digging out vegetation and moving big rocks for a new pathway.

It was a great experience hosting Baptiste for three weeks while he helped us with several projects.
He helped making a pathway, digging up an old irrigation system, clearing out a garage, prorating ground for a cement foundation and was quick to do the dishes every night.

Sue and Henry were our first work away hosts, and it was a good experience joining them for our first time. They tought us alot about gardening and the area and Sue is also very well versed with nutritional information which we liked. A big thank you to Mark for helping us out for a couple of weeks. He moved rocks from garden beds, dug up plants and moved them, and did some prep work for painting...he's an accomplished guitarist/musician and we enjoyed listening to him play.

Sue and Henry were great hosts to have for my stay in British Columbia. They were easy to talk to and great people to talk about Canadian culture and history and they never pushed you too hard with the work. Located in a beautiful spot near a regional park and close to town, this was a great couple weeks to spend in BC.

Sue and Henry are both very friendly welcoming people. They have a very nice place to stay in the middle of mountains along a cold river, where you can go swimming every day.
