Louève joined us early in the summer and it was her first time being away from home for any extended period of time. Louève quickly came out of her shell and settled into our way of life and really became a member of our family during her stay. All tasks were well attended to and Louève cooked some great meals for the family and the younger kids
… read more loved playing and reading with her. Louève also managed the rare fete of connecting with the teenagers in our family, and that is no small achievement.
We wish Louève well in the future, she is a very sweet and kind person who we would happily welcome back to Wicklow any time.

Sara was a quiet but lovely girl. She was very generous with her time and the kids loved her and learned new skills and games from Sara.
Sara worked hard and was very efficient at getting her tasks completed and was always willing to help with anything she was asked to do.

Maren was wonderful. She was able to fit right in with our family as if she had been with us for years. Maren never had to be asked to do anything, she just seemed to know what needed to be done. The kids loved her and we think that Maren made a friend for life with another workawayer staying nearby us.

Angelina came to stay with us during the height of the 3rd Covid-19 pandemic wave and gave us all a very positive experience during a very worrying and stressful period.
Angelina attended all tasks and responsibilities that were given to her without difficulty and in a timely manner, these included;
• minding the younger kids,
• doing home

• cleaning and tidying around the kitchen
• cooking for the family once or twice a week.
• Taking the smaller ones for bike rides or trips to the playground
On a personal level, Angelina interacted with all members of the family as if she was one of us – taking part in games with kids, watching movies with the teenagers, taking anyone (including the dog) who wanted to go with her for outdoor walks in the local area.

Although, at the start, Marie's English was laboured - it never stopped her from communicating with us adn trying very hard to have normal, everyday conversations. The benefit for Marie was that her English had improved dramatically by the time she left.
We hope that Marie has safe and fulfilling future travels and would welcome her back to Wicklow any time she wishes to visit us

… read more country is just beautiful! If you like the nature, this country is for you! This family lives in a beautiful region. There are a lot of walks close the home. It's easy to move!! There are a lot of different activities: walking, biking, kayaking, bars and restaurants in Wicklow, Wicklow Moutains, swimming (in the sea if you want ;) ). There are a lot of foreigners in Wicklow. It's nice to meet other people.
It's a very welcoming family. They integrated me directly and I felt like in my family!
It's a very open family and I learnt a lot of things about their culture (Ireland and Norway ;) )! It was very interessant!

Sofía came to Wicklow and stayed with us for 8 weeks. The kids loved having Sofía around and she was able to fit in with the family routine very quickly.
