Melanie fitted into our family easily. She is kind and communicative. I could trust her to do tasks and do them well. I would definitely recommend Melanie to others! I can't recommend her highly enough. Melanie used her initiative and followed tasks to completion. Melanie could connect with all ages in a meaningful way. We would certainly welcome

I am deeply grateful to Lee-Anne, Mike and Teresa for welcoming me into their home and their everyday life. I needed a place to volunteer very last minute and it ended up being a real blessing in disguise because it lead me to them. I've spent two amazing weeks in Feilding, helping with various house chores, and with a few tasks at their farm in

From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, they made me feel like a part of their family. They've shared their knowledge with me on different interesting topics, we've had nice conversations and did some activities like going to Foxton, go biking in the neighbourhood, attending a New Caledonian short film festival, etc.
Their kindness is a beautiful gift and their generosity is an absolute treasure. They even shared their delicious frozen feijoa fruits with me when they learned that I love this fruit but it is not available in my country and it wasn't the season for fresh ones. I cherish the feijoa sorbet and the feijoa crumble that are now precious memories from the past. I also warmly keep in my heart the nice evenings playing cards and other cool board games.
Teresa is an awesome young woman and a real sunshine. I've been able to meet Lee-Anne's wonderful mother and briefly interact with Emily (their older daughter) through a video call and she seems like an amazing person with who I would have a lot in common. I've also loved to spend time with Lacy (the dog) and Bud (the cat), they are super sweet and smart! The all family is a real gem!
I've learned a lot with them all and had such a nice time, I'm really glad that they're a part of my journey in New Zealand and I could not recommend them more to potential future volunteers. They're the kind of people who lift up your spirits, restore your faith in humans and make this world a better place!

I just spent two wonderful weeks with the Stone family in their very homey house in Feilding. They are a funny, welcoming and loving bunch with loads of good energy. We played heaps of new games, enjoyed evening dinners together and even spent a weekend at their Farm outside Norsewood.
I enjoyed my stay very much and could easlily have stayed

We highly recommend Josi, she fitted into our family easily. Josi is task oriented and hard working. She uses her initiative and is pleasant to be around. She listens and asks questions if needed, Also her English is very good. We would welcome her back in our home any time.

Wow, what a funny, nice and interesting time with the Stones! I am so happy, that I could stay two weeks with Lee-Anne, Mike, Emily and Teresa. From the first second, when they picked me up from the bus station, I felt so welcome and like part of the family! And the first I got was not work, but a funny card game, good conversations and thousands
… read more of books. They really treat you like an equal part of the family and not just a worker for house and garden. I always worked together with Lee-Anne and I enjoyed her very, very good company.
The work was really easy, never boring, never to much and we had lots of nice tea breaks! I was not able and not allowed to work more than 4 hours a day, because the whole family helps with all the tasks :). They are also very good teachers and don't expect you to know everything, but help you instead with becoming a better workawayer by teaching you how to use a waterblaster or a wood splitter for example. Cooking with all the nice vegetables and legumes was my favourite task. My work was very appreciated!
After work they took me everywhere, i.e. for different shoppings in town and walking with the dog. We were twice at their old very beautiful farm and once we even camped there for a night. I could talk to Mike and Lee-Anne about everything and they helped me a lot with questions about life and also about my further travelings. My stay really helped me to improve my english and I loved to spent time with so nice people! The Stones are really a happy, harmonic family and are trying hard to make you feel good and having a nice time. Thank you so much for having me!!! It was soooooo cool :D. I hope, that I can come back!Feedback

I just stayed with the Stone family for two and a half weeks and I wish it could have been longer! They are such sweet, intelligent, outgoing, adventurous people. The two girls are very respectful but lively and fun to be around. If you love animals or being outside they are great people to spend time with. I mainly did my work in the kitchen

The task is fair and they were very understanding when I caught a stomach bug. Can't wait for my next trip back to New Zealand to see them again!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.
