By a twist of fate, I became a construction surveyor working in a tunnel in Norway. In some ways, I sometimes even enjoy the work, but at the same time, over the past year I’ve realized how many things I’m missing. Among them are more contact with nature and animals, conversations with kind people, manual work, being outdoors in the fresh air, and a glimpse into lifestyles outside my usual circle of acquaintances, etc. I’m taking a professional break to catch up on these things.

I’m certainly not a universal handyman, but at the same time, I think I can manage to arrange, fix, or at least help with quite a lot of things. I’ve decided to step into the unknown again, try something new, meet new people. I want to look forward to what today will bring me.

For my own reference, I’m leaving here the description I once wrote for WorkAway when I was younger. Today I’m already 34 years old.

(( I am 26-years old guy from the Czech republic, who likes travelling and want to discover different parts of the world and, if possible, keep my budget low. I study civil engineering, my hobbies are running, cycling, construction works, agriculture, reading. Of course, I like to relax, but I can´t imagine myself lying a week on a beach, because of that I have to fill up even my free time with work, but preferably the work I like. Nowadays I try to find out, how important or unimportant is a monetary system for me but even for other people. That is why I experiment with volunteering. I also like meeting people from different cultures, exploring their lifestyles and habitat. If you invite me, I will enjoy your stories, your life philosophy and would like to learn as much as possible. ))
