Hello!

My name is Vanessa and I’m 27. I’m originally from Minnesota but most recently have been living in Texas.

I love language / cultural immersion and am hoping to take some time off to travel and learn languages.
I studied French (B2) and am learning Spanish (intermediate).

My skills: I have experience teaching (I tutored English in high school and Physics in college), farming / outdoor help (I helped on my friend’s ranch and have WWOOF’ed), caring for children (babysitting / nannying, daycare volunteer, Sunday school teacher / camp leader), and restaurant experience (waitressing in college.) I’ve done odd construction projects (I’ve used power tools!), worked for a moving company, painted houses, organized closets, cleaned homes, managed a shop, and a bunch of other small jobs. :)

A little about me: I studied Engineering at University. In my free time I love to train Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (want to learn Judo!) swim, run, bike, dance (I’m learning tango), and read. Non-smoking, no drugs, non-drinker. I go crazy for fruit. My latest favorite is papaya!
