My name is Una Vorster and I am a South African citizen. I studied at the University of Stellenbosch in the Western Cape of and got my degree in BScAgric Oenology and Viticulture aka winemaking :)
I can truly say I am a gypsy by hart. I have been traveling and work abroad for well over 10 years. My visits to new places have become longer and less busy as I get older, I enjoy getting to know people better and to finish what I started without a rush. My passion for travel and nature is in my blood. There is no better way for me to spend my time then learning new skills I can use again, like building and agriculture and living a simple life.
I am a good balance between extrovert and introvert, a free spirited person with an open mind. I always try and smile, love to laugh and make others laugh, naturally don't take myself too seriously. Music is something that is always around me and I could not live without but have no musical talent I have discovered yet. I am very health conscious, thus I spend a lot of my time in nature doing something active to make me stronger and fitter. My journey to self discovery and soul searching has been an ongoing adventure that moulds me and pushes me to be a better everyday till Im the best version I can be.
Workaway gives me the opportunity to meet new people from around the world, learn about different cultures, different ways to do something and new skills I can use somewhere els.
I am a hard worker and very flexible. I am hospitable and have worked part time in customer service and the hospitality industry, done to many international wine vintages across the world I can count, lived and worked a year and a half on a Sailing Yacht as a deckhand and workaways in between.
My home language is Afrikaans and I am fluent in English.
