Description
Hello dear hosts,
My name is Tomoka, and I live in Japan.
I currently run my own nail salon as a self employed nail artist.
I’ve been interested in overseas life for a long time, but it took me some time to gather the courage to leave Japan. About three years ago, I finally started traveling abroad, and I quickly fell in love with it.
I now feel a strong desire to change my life and experience living in a new environment.
I’d love to live surrounded by New Zealand’s beautiful nature and experience the daily life of local people.
As my work becomes quieter around May, I plan to take about one month off starting from the last week of May.
For the first two weeks, I’ll attend a language school in Auckland, and from June 6 to June 23, I’d like to spend time doing workaway.
I started learning English in the fall of last year, so I’m still a beginner. However, I truly enjoy talking with people and learning new things. In Japan, I have made foreign friends and am studying hard every day to communicate as much as possible.
I’m cheerful, curious, friendly, and open minded.
I’m also responsible and hardworking, and I always do my best to complete any task I am given. I genuinely enjoy helping others.
I have experience and interests in many areas, such as nail art, painting, playing musical instruments, cooking, sewing, exercise, babysitting, and taking care of cats. I’m also very interested in farm work and caring for animals.
I graduated from a fashion university, so I enjoy creative activities.
I respect house rules and shared spaces, and I value respecting different cultures and ways of thinking.
This will be my first solo trip and my first workaway experience, but I always try to stay positive and open minded.
I truly look forward to spending meaningful and enjoyable time with my host family and learning from many new experiences.
Thank you. -

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I work as a nail artist and illustrator, mainly creating portraits, so I’m happy to help with anything related to art.
I’m good with my hands and enjoy making things, so while I may not have extensive knowledge, I can also help with cooking and DIY projects.
I find joy in being helpful to others, which is why I’m happy to take care of cleaning, organizing, and helping with children or animals.
I’m also willing to do physical work and will do my best. -
