Looking for a Workaway where I can stay, help and learn together with my daughter! Especially would love a peaceful community or a hostel.

Hello out there!

This is Tina, originally from Germany, living since five years on the island of Gran Canaria with my daughter (Maya, 9). We both are happy persons and enjoy a lot to laugh, to dance, to sing, to connect ... and to travel!
I’ve travelled a lot before having Maya, mainly to Latin America. And with her at least we went a couple of times for some months to the Caribbean and Africa.
We live almost vegetarian (perfectly fine with not eating meat at all) and I don't drink alcohol.

I'm a positive thinking person, have good people skills, love animals, deep talk, music and especially dancing. I'd say I'm fun. ;) I love being with people and I also love being on my own. I prefer camping (or a hostel) over a hotel a hundred times, and I always used to LOVE to step outside my comfort zone. Here on the Canaries I started to connect more with myself, with nature and plants, slept in caves, stayed at remote places, cooked on wood. I actually love simple living and finally want to make my own life a simple one.
With the decision to set out on the journey once again and look for an even better place and environment to live (and for my daughter to grow up in!), I have finally embarked on the path toward the life I truly want to live: A simple and sustainable life in community and with warm hearted, real people around us, and way less or without screens.

My daughter comes with me almost wherever I go, and she loves it: travels, music jams, workshops, meditation, reiki, mantra singing, women's circles, breathwork, ceremonies, family constellation etc. etc. She observes, listens or paints, or does whatever she feels like, collecting all these beautiful tools given by nature for a healthy way of living.
She grows up in a pretty concient way and almost without screens. She is very natural, calm, attentive, uncomplicated, smart and playful and has a very well-balanced personality. She’s very good company and very helpful indeed - so far it was no problem at all to volunteer together with her.

What can I offer?
- I worked as a educator for many years and love working with families, children and teenagers.
- I am very good with people and in connecting people.
- I am creative (and enjoy to paint, for example)
- I am good organizing.
- I speak fluent Spanish and English and my mother tongue is German, so I could teach (and translate) basic German, English or Spanish.
- I have many many Latin American friends and connect a lot with Latin American cultures, so I might serve as a cultural bridge.
- I had and know about cats. I also love dogs, horses and all kinds of animals.

I would for example love to help (and learn) in a sustainable community or a hostel / treating with people or with animals. Generally, I am looking for all kinds of lovely places with good vibes to:
- help you out (volunteer up to 1 month, if we fit each other also longer posible!) and/or
- pay a little / help a little
- just chill (pay for accomodation)

I want to go to Nicaragua and Costa Rica around end of June, to get to know these two countries I have never been at though they call me so much. I am open to other places, as well.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- i'm a positive thinking person, believing in the good
- good people skills, communicative, friendly, connecting really fast
- honest, trustworthy, reliable
- open hearted and minded
- 3 fluent spoken and written languages: German, Spanish, English. I can do translations, phone calls, whatever.
- i love kids and worked with children of all ages for about 6 years (kindergarten, after school care, refugee camps, homeless families place, others) plus almost 2 years with teenagers and young adults
- i'm an educator and studied pedagogy(/education/psychology/...) for 5 years
- i love animals and i am good with them. also feel very comfy with horses and used to horse back ride a lot but stopped long ago because it felt wrong to dominate them (i would love to try a more sensitive and partner–like way, though)
- i'm not a geek but relatively good with computers
- I love couple dances, started dancing when I was 20. leaders told me that I am easy to lead :)
