Hi, my name is Melina and I am 28 years old. I just finished my studies to become a French and English teacher. During my studies, I lived in Flensburg, which is located at the very north of Germany, but originally I come from a town near Hamburg.

In my free time I like to read, do puzzles, listen to music and sing, and meet up with friends or family. Also, to stay fit and healthy I practice yoga or go for a run from time to time. I am a calm person that likes to spend time alone, but I do also enjoy spending quality time with people dear to me. I love to travel and in the future, I would like to travel to many more countries. I've been to France a few times, but mainly stayed in or near Paris and one time in Bordeaux and near the Dune du Pilat.

Before starting my job I want to travel in France to better my French. Sadly, most of the seminars at university were taught in German, which is why I don't have much practice in speaking French and lack the confidence to do so. In the past, I have noticed that spending some time in France helped me improve my French a lot. Additionally, I want to experience French culture and see more of France than just Paris and Bordeaux.

I mainly eat vegetarian/vegan, but not exclusively. So, I am excited to maybe try some typical French meals. This is my first time as a workawayer and I am excited to start this adventure! I have worked as a babysitter for a few years which I really enjoyed, as I love playing with kids and getting to know their little personalities and seeing how their small brains are developing. Other than that, I have some experience taking care of plants and working in the garden, as well as doing some handy work. Overall, I am eager to help and learn new skills!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As I have had my own household for years, I have much experience with everything that comes with that. May that be normal chores around the house like cleaning or doing the laundry, or cooking meals. Other than that I have some experience doing light handy work as I helped my dad sometimes with his projects or did some on my own. I also sometimes did some work in the garden, like weeding or planting flowers and other plants.
I have worked as a babysitter before, so I also have some experience taking care of children and playing with them and doing activities.
In general I can say that I am more than happy and willing to learn anything that I don't know how to do yet!
