Hi!

I am Tarsila from Brazil, and Michael from New York City. We currently live together in Montreal, Canada, and are planning a trip to Mexico in February 2026.

We love to travel and do work exchanges while visiting a new place. We feel that it's a unique way to connect to a new destination more slowly and locally. After getting married 3 years ago and moving to Canada, this will be our first time volunteering together, yay!

I am an independent filmmaker and digital entrepreneur. Learning new things, getting to know new places, new people, and different perspectives is what brings the most joy into my life. Especially if I can document that moment through my lenses, you can check my work on Instagram @tarsilaschott and YouTube Tarsila Schott. I've volunteered in Canada, France the US.

Michael is a talented musician, jazz lover, and also a bodywork practitioner of Muscle Activation Techniques. He loves cooking and does it very well. He lived in India for 6 months as part of his music degree and 8 months in South America volunteering in Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia.

A fun fact about us is that we met while working at an Arts & music camp in New Jersey.

We are very easy-going and interested in multiple topics and projects. We love cooking, exercising, hiking, having quality conversations, exploring new places, learning new things, and laughing.

I work with social media, so I have developed great skills in communication, storytelling, and marketing. Also, my first degree was in biology and I am an art enthusiast, so I really enjoy working with nature, animals, plants, doing creative projects, and I am always open to learn new skills.

  I love eating and trying new things! Taking care of my health is really important for me so I try to eat clean and healthy for the most part - sometimes I treat myself to some dessert, pizza or chocolate.
