Hello,
My name is Tamara, I'm 24 and I'm passionate about discovery and travel.
I'm curious to discover and learn new things in a different environment.
Some travel experiences I've had: showering with cockroaches in Guatemala, watching the Acatenango erupt all night long, listening to the Dalai Lama in India, sleeping in a helicopter pad on a ferry in Greece, listening to fado while eating pasteis de nata in Portugal, watching the London Olympics, swimming with turtles and jellyfish in Bali, discovering the south coast of Australia in a van, experiencing life in Montreal for two months, sharing a karaoke evening with locals in Vietnam, experiencing the daily life of a local family in Senegal, etc.
I like to know how the people I meet see the world, their culture and how life is seen through their eyes.
I'll end with this quote from Mike Horn: If you dream with your eyes closed, you won't be able to stand up and make your dreams come true. I've always dreamed with my eyes open.
Travelling is an ode to life through encounters, experiences, colours, cultures, smells and so many other things, each one more beautiful than the next (yes, I'm super positive). Even mistakes allow me to learn and bounce back even more.

In my notes, it's all about travel. I've written down brief snapshots of life, good addresses, a to-do list of places to see and experiences to have while travelling, tips and advice. All with the aim of passing them on to whoever wants to read them, as well as keeping eternal memories. I love changing the pace of my travels, adapting and discovering new things. I like travelling alone, in a group with friends, strangers or locals. I like to get off the beaten track while respecting the customs of each place.
