Connections with others -- be they people or animals -- have always brought me great joy, especially when I am making a difference in their lives. I'm a lifelong lover of animals, mosaic artist, hobby farmer, figure model, and writer. Creativity is a huge driving force in my life. ... And traveling is one of my great passions. I will always set aside time and funds to travel, whether to an old favorite place or an exciting unknown new one. Traveling, more than anything perhaps, has made me a better person.

I studied in Rome while in college and have been back to Italy several times, and have gained a small understanding of Italian. I would love to become fluent -- or at least passingly conversational! I have also spent time in France, and studied French in high school.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I can do all kinds of work, from menial, necessary tasks, to interacting with people from all walks of life, to caring for pets as well as farm animals -- but my main Workaway focus is creating artwork and beautifying places. I am an experienced, mature mosaic artist working in all kinds of mediums -- in particular, found objects. Also, I worked as a writer and editor for many years in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before moving to a small rural property in central New York state -- to live a quieter life more purposefully. I live here with my husband, at least a dozen cats, a dog, 2 goats and 17 chickens. We also garden organically and eat as much as we can from our garden during the warmer months.

I'm a big reader, love to play Scrabble, play piano -- mostly ragtime and early jazz (I have been playing piano since I was 11 years old), rescue cats, love to travel (obviously!), and love learning about history and nature.
