Description
I am a solo female traveler and genuine seeker looking to bring meaning to my travels, in hopes of sharing my soul's purpose - helping others.
After five years working in a corporate job in New York City, I packed my life into a single 40L backpack and booked a one-way ticket to India in January, where I lived for four months.
During that time, I had the pleasure of wandering the Himalayas by foot, studying Tibetan Buddhism in local monasteries, chanting mantras on street corners with passers-by, and camping out in Shepard huts, preparing home-cooked food with local aunties and uncles.
As a teacher and lover of people, I crave meaningful conversation and have a knack for storytelling.
Experiencing humanity in all its forms brings me great joy, and it's something I hope to do as I begin working and volunteering my services overseas.
As I continue my expedition, I have no end in sight. I am hopeful that my travels will lead me to my next home base, as Asia stole my heart in a way that I did not expect. -

I would be happy to teach English to students of any age - whether children or adults. A fun fact about me is that when I was in high school, my father and I hosted three foreign exchange students from Belgium and Germany for one year in our home in Seattle, Washington. The three girls were native speakers of French. When they arrived in the states, two of them spoke elementary English, and I had only a basic knowledge of French after three years studying it in school. The first three months after their arrival, we communicated via broken "Franglish" and the frequent game of charades. Over the course of the year, we had many laughs over teaching each other our native tongues. By the time the girls left in June, all three of them had English fluency, and I was able to sustain conversational French in any subject. -

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I am first and foremost a student of my own practice. As a certified yoga and meditation teacher, my first priority is to be a practitioner of my own craft, so that I may arrive with patience, compassion - and readiness to learn from my students.
I believe that each human being knows what's best for their own mind and body, which is an approach I bring into both my teaching, and my daily life. I would consider myself an adaptable, resourceful, reliable and creative individual, who strives to create home inside her own body and mind, and share that safe space with others. -

Autres infos...
I am a folk singer and guitar player who loves sharing the gift of music and sound with others. While living in India, I learned a handful of mantras that I enjoy playing to bring people together.
Additionally, I am an avid hiker and nature enthusiast. I solo climbed in the Dhauladhar Mountain range at a summit of 3200 meters in a single day, with only a peanut butter sandwich and Bob Dylan to keep me company. -
