Soy Sydney y actualmente estoy en Medellín, Colombia. Acabo de terminar un año enseñando inglés aquí en un colegio en Medellín. Ahora estoy buscando workaways para conocer mas el pais y seguir mejorando mi español. Soy una persona muy amable, querida, y extrovertida, así que en cualquier lugar estoy muy amañada.

Actualmente estoy buscando un workaway donde puedo trabajar con caballos. Tenia caballos y montaba por 10 anos cuando era niña. Mas reciente, yo he ido de viajes en caballos de tres a siete horas en caballo. Cuando era mas joven, aprendí como armar la silla, limpiar los cascos, correr, saltar, y todo. Tengo muchas ganas de seguir trabajando con caballos, aunque mi experiencia es muy viejo, aprendo muy rapido y quiero dedicarme completamente al trabajo con caballos. Crecí en una granja y se que el trabajo es duro pero muy gratificante.

Hablo español con fluidez y soy hablante nativa de inglés. Quiero mejorar y practicar mi español lo más posible mientras estoy aquí. Me encanta bailar salsa, hacer hula hula y malabares, y bailar con fuego; mejor dicho, ¡paso la mitad de mi tiempo bailando, jaja! También me gusta hacer yoga: hice mi yoga teacher training en India el año pasado y me encantaría compartir lo que aprendí allí con otros y dar clases de yoga. Además, me encanta hacer trekking, acampar, hacer cosas creativas y trabajar con animales y caballos. Me encanta la naturaleza y vivo una vida espiritual.

Mis habilidades son: instructora de yoga, profe de inglés, marketing y redes sociales, traducción e interpretación de inglés y español, trabajadora de caballos y guia de aventura. Me encanta trabajar con otros y colaborar. Actualmente enseño inglés en línea a estudiantes en China, pero es muy flexible y puedo hacerlo cuando quiera; siempre voy a priorizar las responsabilidades del workaway. También estoy acostumbrada trabajar en granjas y con mis manos, me encanta trabajar asi.

Soy una bailarina de fuego con hula hulas y abanicos. Me encantaría dar un show de fuego o enseñar mi arte. Es muy especial y me encanta compartirlo con lo demás.

Que busco en un workaway? Estoy buscando un workaway donde puedo estar muy conectado a la comunidad y hablar espanol lo maximo possible. Me encantaría trabajar con gente, animales, o mis manos. Seria excelente encontrar una oportunidad donde puedo usar y mejorar mis habilidades de marketing y redes sociales. Busco un workaway mas largo tiempo de uno o dos meses, seria buena quedar mas tiempo si el workaway es adecuado para mi, pero tendría que renovar mi visa. Necesito un lugar donde puedo ensenar ingles en linea y internet reliable, entiendo que eso reduzco mis opciones. En realidad estaría muy contenta con cualquier workaway donde puedo hablar bastante espanol y mantener enseñando en linea. Soy una persona muy flexible y feliz donde sea, asi que voy a estar muy muy contenta contigo.

He hecho Workaway muchas veces antes, tanto en América Latina como en algunas partes de Asia. He trabajado en granjas, en traducción, en grandes proyectos artísticos, guía turístico y en hostels. Estoy muy agradecida por el tiempo que he pasado haciendo Workaway en el pasado. Me encanta compartir con gente de todo el mundo, contar historias, compartir sonrisas y reir. Siempre intento llevar buena onda a donde vaya. Soy muy orgullosa de mi trabajo y siempre lo hago lo mejor posible. Encantada de conocerte!


My name is Sydney and I am currently in Medellin Colombia. I just finished a year of teaching English at a local high school on a work visa here in Medellin. I am now ready to explore more of the country through workaway!! I speak fluent Spanish and looking to improve and practice as much as I can. I love to salsa dance, hula hoop, fire dance, needless to say, I spend most of my time dancing haha! I also enjoy yoga, I got my yoga teacher certification last year in India and would love to share what I learned there and give yoga classes. Other than that I love to hike, camp, be creative through arts, and I love working with animals!

My skills include yoga teaching, English teaching, farm work, marketing and social media editing, english-spanish translation and interpreting. I really enjoy working with people as well as animals. I do teach English online to Chinese student, so I need to be able to do that where ever I am, but it is very flexible hours so I can prioritize the workaway's responsibilities.

I am also a professional fire dancer and would love to give fire shows! I dance with a fire hoop and fire fans. I am also interested in teaching and sharing my art!


What am I looking for in a workaway? I am looking to be connected with the community and speak as much spanish as possible. I would love to use my yoga teaching skills and work with people, animals, or with my hands. I would love an opportunity to improve my marketing and social media skills. I am looking for a long-term workaway position for 1 or 2 months, maybe more but I would have to renew my visa. I do need a space to work online and reliable internet, so that does slim my options. I am really open to all and any experiences in workway as long as I am speaking spanish and able to continue teaching online. I am a very laid back person and very happy wherever I am, so I am sure I will be happy at your workaway:)

I have done workaway many times before, in Latin America and in parts of Asia. From farm work, to translation, big art projects, tour guiding, to hostel work. I am so grateful for my time with workaways in the past. I love to share and connect with people all around the world, share stories, laughs and smiles. I always try to bring a positive energy to every room I walk into. I take pride in my work and will always leave a job well done. I am excited to see where the next few months will take me:)
